Series 5: Winners

There was one winning team in Series 5. Team 4 retrieved the Shield, completing their quest in 63 minutes.


Team 4: Ben, John, Ray and Jonathan from Exeter

The team has received two spells from Hordriss the Confuser: FIRE and FREEZE.

Knightmare Series 5 Team 4. Ben encounters the sorceress, Aesandre.

In the next chamber, Ben encounters the sorceress, Aesandre. She has been asked by Lord Fear to end the quest.

You must of course fight fire with fire. Come, dungeoneer. Do your worst, or perhaps your best!

Aseandre

Knightmare Series 5 Team 4. Ben freezes Aesandre in a block of ice.

As she prepares to strike, the team spell-casts FREEZE to defeat her.

Ben arrives on a platform. A large moat stands between him and Knightmare Castle.

Knightmare Series 5 Team 4. Ben faces a long causeway of puzzles.

His final challenge is to create a path by solving a large floor puzzle of shapes and Roman numerals.

The calculations are not difficult, but the mechanics of the puzzle are slow, which drains life force.

As the team reaches halfway, the Shield appears inside a block of ice.

Knightmare Series 5 Team 4. The Shield appears, frozen in ice, on a central platform.

The team spell-casts FIRE to release it.

The shot moves closer in, so the team can identify the markings for the second half of the puzzle.

Life force becomes critical, but the castle door is beckoning...

Winners

Knightmare Series 5 Team 4. Ben returns to Knightmare Castle with the Shield.

A fanfare sounds as Ben arrives back into the antechamber.

Treguard: "Well done, Ben! I think we've got something to exchange.

Pickle hands over a frightknight trophy for the team to share.

Knightmare Series 5 Team 4. Ben proudly holds the Frightknight trophy.

Knightmare Series 5 Team 4. The team admire the trophy as they are dismissed.

The team is dismissed as winners.

Treguard summons the next team.
