Knightmare's 20th Birthday
Well, I've noticed there isn't a topic about this yet - so here it is!
KM is 20 this month (the exact date escapes me, someone supply this), and I think it'd be a good idea to acknowledge that you like KM! So let's see how long we can make this thread through declarations of appreciation!
*hand in the air* I love Knightmare!

There is this one: http://www.knightmare.com/forum2/http:/ ... eadid=2191Pooka wrote: Well, I've noticed there isn't a topic about this yet
Maybe the two topics can be merged at some point, if it's deemed prudent to do so.
Edit: There is also this topic: http://www.knightmare.com/forum2/http:/ ... eadid=2144

Re:Knightmare's 20th Birthday
I believe this Friday 7th is the 20th anniversary of the broadcast of the first ever installment. This week is also the 20th anniversary of when I first started primary school, too, so I'm feeling doubly old!
Subject to change.

Alas it's the 19th anniversary for my start of school...However I did start play school/pre -school 20 years ago.
I guess I should dig out my S1 tape and give it a spin on the day itself.
Many happy birthdays, KM!

Re:Knightmare's 20th Birthday
Same year as I was born!!! Why do you think I loved it? I'm raising a pint tonight and celebrating by watching the clips and watching my tapes!
Heres to Knightmare! Though it didn't progress, its memories will always be treasured by millions out there!
Cheers!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KNIGHTMARE
Happy Birthday Knightmare!
Congratulations Tim Child for creating such a wonderful programme, and well done to all the cast, crew, and of course Dungeoneers and Advisors.
Well done, to you all, and of course to all us fans who have helped keep Knightmare so popular, and such a classic.
Knightmare still remains my favourite ever Children's ITV programme, and I solely credit Knightmare for sparking my great passion for Dark Age and Medieval history, as well as my love for anything Arthurian.
Happy Birthday Knigtmare.
Now Knightmare, what would you like for your 21st Birthday?
A nice DVD release perhaps...?

Hear, hear! Let us all put our feet up stick on a tape, have a pint, pot noodle and watch Knightmare who is 20 today... Lots of love from your fans and your daddy Tim...!
Going into CBeebies mode there, ahem!
Next is its Silver Anniversary (25th) and that'll be something special indeed!

Re:HAPPY BIRTHDAY KNIGHTMARE
Knightmare is the greatest children's gameshow ever created. The second it launched it changed millions of people's lives forever. Where there was previously no hope, there was now Treguard. Where there was previously no meaning, there was now Monday afternoons at 4:45.
This was the first internet community I ever joined. When I first started posting in the summer of 2000, it had only started 13 years ago - now it ended 13 years ago. Over the last two decades, both while the show was on and off screen, Knightmare has enlightened the lives of so much of this country (and beyond) and even new fans who don't remember the show first time around, or weren't even born when it ended, have found it through the Challenge repeats. It's amazing that a TV show can bring so many people together, but that's the power of Knightmare.
Very very happy birthday, Knightmare, and here's to the next 20 years! I was planning a huge party in the chatroom tonight but it's not worked in over a month, so ah well!
