Re: Challenge ads?
I've included a few other means of advertising they've also used. Hope you don't mind.
1st Mentioning Knightmare and the time it's on after other programmes. They seem to do this a lot with other shows. It's cheap, and I'd guess fairly effective. I don't hear them do it with Knightmare, really.
2nd The Documentary. Yep, nice for the fans, thought I'd guess it wasn't really an advertising tool as such.
3rd The S4 Advert. over the Summer for KM and TCM jointly. Got the point across, and showed clips, so people browsing who'd remember the show by sight if not by name would understand.
4th S5 Advert. for KM and Gamesmaster jointly. Quite funny- pity there's no clips.
5th "The guy with the bin on his head." Nice idea in theory, to fit with the way they advertised other shows in the same 20 seconds or so. At least it mentioned the show's name, I guess!
6th No Advert. That was how it was for a fair while when it was a new regular show on Challenge.
7th Giving the wrong date of the next episode after several KM installments. Yep, they did that for a while too.
So, yes, I guess the current ad. could be better, but it's an improvement on some ways they seemingly sought to promote the show in the past!

Hmm, yes, that advert IS starting to grow on me too.
At least it's better than nothing.

Re: KM Advert on Challenge
Maybe you guys could write a script for a *quality* KM advert, and send it off to challenge? to see what they think? Who knows! If you make it budget friendly enough...

Re: KM Advert on Challenge
I rather like the current one. It's quite funny- if they do others in the future, I'd like to see something on the same theme, with Treguard and the Gamesmaster continuing their conversation a bit. It'd be more fun if the advert poked fun at itself for being slightly tacky. That's hard to explain without an example. *sigh*

Knew KM Challenge S6 ad?
Probably a stupid question but when the website is up and running again, is the latest ad going to be posted. I would love to see the knew ad and of course series' 6-8 but that's impossible unless something happens before then (14th April) which I doubt.

Re: Knew KM Challenge S6 ad?
One thing to be said for Challenge, they know how to do a good montage. I've just seen the advert, and it's the first time I've seen anything from S6 in 12 years.
They've made it look impressive. Anyone who sees that ad should want to see more.

I've seen the ad and It was brillant.
and when Lord Fear said "No more Mr nice guy" you could feel the tension build up.

Yeah, a nice touch that was. I also liked the way Treguard said 'You're quite sure you want to do this?'

Re: Knew KM Challenge S6 ad?
I would be most grateful if someone can make available a clip of this advert for download. I don't have Challenge myself so unable to see it.

I haven't seen the new ad yet (haven't had Challenge on for ages) but it sounds good - better than a man with a bucket on his head, hehe!

Hehe, thanks! I won't be absent from this board so much from now on, especially since there's more KM starting very soon...

Challenge ads?
I know which ads there have been when they were:
- The short documentry (Tim Child and Hugo Myatt interviews)
- The series 4/TCM ads
- The series 5 (I think) and Gamesmaster ads
- Oh and the Office one with the worker with a bucket on his head being guided into the wall by colleagues
What other ads have been shown and is there a knew different one for series 3 or are Challenge (which I doubt) showing the documentry again?
