Apparently they made a pilot for a US version back in '92, but it never got beyond that.

It's true of an awful lot of UK shows when they try to remake them in the US in fact  -  the Americans are very good at taking a fine UK show, rewriting it, redefining it from scratch, redesigning it and rearranging every detail, and so inevitably removing the key elements that made it good in the first place. Then when the shows bomb in the States, the TV execs over there have the f*ckin' nerve to say that the problem is that UK TV is rubbish. (A lot of it IS rubbish these days of course, but it wasn't back then, and they still used the same excuse.)

Yep the "Lords of the Game" pilot is still in existence, but none of us have seen it, according to Tim Child. I know he was talking here about adding it as an extra on any future DVD release.

I would like to see it, it could be good. LCDL (French Version) was good also but it might be awful as most US remakes usually are.

Yes, it would be interesting to know how different the pilot was from the British version. In a way I hope TC keeps the pilot from us as one more incentive to buy the DVD(s) if and when they arrive, although I guess if that just doesn't seem like happening he may let us at it anyway.

I like the way she tackled the Play Your Cards Right puzzle

Wasn't Life Force II used in a death sequence once here, I feel certain it was...
