The Eye Shield Website (Freewebs, 2012-21)
You can now view PDFs of all seventy issues of The Eye Shield at http://www.freewebs.com/theeyeshield/.
Many of The Eye Shield links on this website seem to be missing or broken, so if anyone fancies redoing them then they can.
Issues 1-9 are in their original state, with all pictures and puzzles reinstated.

Which links in particular are broken? I don't see any and nobody has reported any of the The Eyeshield links being broken.

The Eyeshield option under the "Fanzine" tab of this site leads to a 404 error.Mystara wrote:Which links in particular are broken? I don't see any and nobody has reported any of the The Eyeshield links being broken.

Ah, I see. It's broken on the *forum* menubar, not the knightmare.com menubar.

Re: The Eye Shield Website
Well, it was a tense 2 minutes and 13 seconds, but the link from the forum to the eye shield (and the other fanzines) is now working.
FYI, the link via knightmare.com has always been functional, even before the other site's links were fixed up.

Re: The Eye Shield Website
A few issues of TES (30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 55, 57, 58) seem to have gone missing from Knightmare.com at some point - is it possible to reupload the PDF attachments? All the other ones are fine.Mystara wrote:Which links in particular are broken? I don't see any and nobody has reported any of the The Eyeshield links being broken.

Not sure if you're aware, but all of the issues are currently available and working at the website in the first post.

Re: The Eye Shield Website
hm, yes indeed.
Fixing it is causing another problem that I don't have the time to deal with right now, so I'll fix it this evening.

Should now be fixed.

Additionally, search engines do not like replicated content. From a traffic and search engine ranking point of view, it is far better to have 10 links to one site than 5 to one and 5 to another.Canadanne wrote:I know, but all my fanfic and Lexicon links are to Knightmare.com, and my OCD would prefer I didn't have a handful of them pointing to a different site. And not everyone who tries to read them on KM.com will be aware of the alternative.GranitasIsCute wrote:Not sure if you're aware, but all of the issues are currently available and working at the website in the first post.

Hooray! Been looking for TES. I can now read to my hearts content. Thanks for all the hard work guys! Good stuff.
It's only a game, isn't it?

Like all Webs websites, this one will disappear forever at the end of this month (March 2021).
