The Road to Hell and Back - 2011
Hello again >:-]
A little late getting the ball rolling this year but it's time to get plans underway for the Halloween roadtrip.
The intended dates would be the week of Saturday 15th - Sunday 23rd October 2011.
--------------------
The Basic Plan (open to suggestions!) :-
Blackpool - Including Pasaje del Terror, Carneskys Ghost Train, Alien Attack (by the same people who gave us the legendary Alien War in Glasgow Arches and London Trocadero), Blackpool Dungeon and whatever other attractions are open during the off-season.
Farmageddon
Alton Towers Scarefest
Thorpe Park FrightNights
Tulleys Farm Shocktoberfest
Homeward bound. Hopefully with all wits and body parts with you or at least accounted for...
--------------------
As before, people are free to come and go as they see fit. The thought behind suggesting Blackpool and suchlike was to give more northerly folk a chance to join the adventure. There's obviously a lot of different attractions listed so it'd be good to hear what everyone thinks is feasible/possible.
A little taster of previous adventures.
Anyone brave enough to join me for some or all of this journey to Hell... and back? >:-]

I think I'll be up for some of those.
As a side note, I thoroughly recommend the Thorpe Park Fright Night, if for no other reason than watching one of the halloween actors wet himself as JamesA charges and rugby tackles him...
...after numerous threats, warnings and demands that we NOT TOUCH THE ACTORS

None that I've set though the average age tends to be 20-30.shadow6162 wrote:ooh this sounds interesting is there an age limit at all?
18+ would seem sensible.

Re: The Road to Hell and Back - 2011
I seem to recall Fright Night had an age limit. But I think it was 12+ or something. However, we entered the park prior to the Fright Night events starting and I don't think that anyone entering in this way could possibly be age checked.
The other sites, I have no idea. However, no kind of age limit that they could apply is going to be legally enforceable and nor will they care. I suspect any such age limits exist solely to sell the event.
And of course, *we* won't prevent anyone going

I'd like to do one but I genuinely don't think I can this year. Bugger.

Which destinations have you got in mind, Shadow?
I've nothing against you coming along but it'd be wise to check with your folks. Assuming you can look after yourself, no hassle.
This trip is effectively my "Summer" holiday where I try to get AWAY from looking after other peoples kids!

Well I think Alton Towers would work for me but I'm not sure if I could make it. It depends because my dad's a bit ill at the moment so if he gets better then I might come but we'll just have to see I guess.

Re: The Road to Hell and Back - 2011
Hasn't been a lot of movement with this or interest shown so probably a good idea to stick with what we did last year. Alton Towers, Thorpe Park and then Tulleys Farm as a nice little finale.
Folks willing/able for that? Make a long weekend of it rather than the full weeks odyssey.
I'm thinking perhaps Thursday 20th @ Alton Towers, Travel South on the Friday, Saturday 22nd @ Thorpe (Will be very busy so paying that little bit extra for Q-Jumper tickets is a wise idea) then Finish Sunday Evening 23rd @ Tulleys farm.
That's a little under 3 weeks from now.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Flames/Hatemail?

I reckon I can see my way clear to coming along on the Saturday and/or Sunday. Due to work, it's unlikely I could make it on the Thursday.

Right...
Plenty interest in Tulleys Farm on the 23rd but next to nothing for the rest so 1 last change of plan to accomodate a few people.
Alton Towers on Saturday 22nd (a few non-KM regulars coming along. Hence the change.)
Tulleys farm on Sunday 23rd as already mentioned.

Here's hoping for some fun evenings.
