First Ever CITV Episode

Post by alzeaus21 »

Hey there, new member here! ;D

Was just interested to know how many of you saw the first ever episode when it first aired in 1987?

For me, it is one of my best memories, just before my 7th birthday, i watched it religiously up until about season 4 or 5... I don't remember much from that age, but that 1st episode is one thing I do remember - just the sheer excitement of it all.

I did indeed view it. Like yourself, I cannot recall a great deal about it (though some things did come flooding back when I saw episode 1 of S1 again), I think I was more interested in how it looked than the actual game itself.

Welcome to the Knightmare community anyway, I hope you feel free to share all of your memories with folks around here. :)

Cheers!

The main thing I remember is looking forward to the end of my school days to hurry home and watch it... 8)

It showed about a month before I was born...it would have been a bit tricky! I would have liked to see it. :'(

Welcome to the Knightmare realm, by the way.
Watch out for Skarkill, he'll have the irons on you-I may accidentally turn you into something.

I'm fairly sure I never saw the very first episoed as my earlyest memory of KM is of a Series 4 Episoed.

So I'd say it would be a safe bet to say I didn't see the Very first broadcast.

Sadly. :( :( :( :(

Happy to help. ::) If you want anyone else turned into presents let me know...

I thought Grippa and Rhark were on the Atkins diet, no goblin fodder allowed!

I did see the first episode!

I was a month or two over 6 years old.

I LOVED IT!

Having only been in school about a year that point, I had a BRIEF understanding of Kings, Knights and Dragons and was interested in all things Medieval and fantasy from then on.

I remember seeing the work KNIGHT in the TV page, so decided to watch out of curiosity.

When I saw the opening credits, then Treguard, then the quest I was transfixed!

Even thought it was now 18 years ago, and I am now the ripe age of 24, I still don't think any CITV programme has bettered it.

There were other programmes that I loved from the mid 1980' to the mid 1990's such as Thomas The Tank Engine, Woof, Micro Man, Your Mother Wouldn't Like It, Chatterbox, Round The Bend etc

But knothing excited me more than when I first saw Knightmare!

That'd be me, at the relatively old age amongst people here (so it seems) of eight.

You could say I found it essential viewing from then on. Then I moved schools and missed great chunks of series 3. D'oh!
