A Darker Knightmare ?
Anyone have any interest in seeing a more Darker Knightmare ? keeping the feel of the original show but introducing a more Industrial/Dark Ambient style soundtrack and more realistic sets/monsters ect. I doubt it would ever happen but its an interesting thought

Re:A Darker Knightmare ?
I think the darkness was probably the best part! A Dark Ambience style would be very popular, I think. I always think that kind of music would go with the dungeons/death sequences very nicely. And welcome to the forum, if I haven't said it already.

Re:A Darker Knightmare ?
I would definatly go for something like that. Of course, that would be gearing it up for a more mature audience, and considering (for example) CITV's key demographic - the 8-12 range - that probably wouldn't sit too well with their commissioners.
If it were for a Crystal Maze esque timeslot... now THAT would be something.
I majorly envision slightly more scarier death scenes, for one - something like 2 seconds before the death, the entire screen turns red, except for the dungeoneer and whatever it is that kills them, who turns black, with only their shape showing. It's tasteful in that no specific details are shown, but you could have things like the black figure falling to the ground, for example.

I've been thinking the same thing myself. I actually have a lot of ideas for this but I'm a bit too shy to share them with anyone other than a few friends! I guess that will get me far :-\

A darker knightmare would be well cool... With dingier lighting and spookier music... and maybe more sound effects to freak people out.

Re:A Darker Knightmare ?
I'd say it needs more tricks in it - for example;
A dungeoneer enters a room with a table. On it is a conch. The team pick up the conch and suddenly the room starts shrinking, much in the same way as the wall room. What the teams dont know is that it is an illusion wall. ) Although an NPC may tell them this for 3 correct riddles, etc) and teams would panic and Treguard would probably start chuckling when the teams suddenly realise that they havn't been squashed to a pulp.
I can see the looks ont he advisors faces
Then of course you give them a real wall later on and they confidently get squashed cos' they thought it was another illusion >.<

The old 'mind games' thing, eh? Hehe, a good plan.
Treguard retaining elements of his former sadistic nature would be quite welcome. Not going overboard or anything, it wouldn't do to have him cackling with glee at the team's misfortune, but certainly having him less of a helping hand would be fun.
If a team was particularly dense, a well placed withering barb would do wonders.

Their was certinally a lot of dense teams, a lot seemed to die in the Bladed Passage or whatever the hell it was called. How hard is it to dodge blades.Dark Comet wrote: The old 'mind games' thing, eh? Hehe, a good plan.

Re:A Darker Knightmare ?
Well in fact, only four teams were ever struck down in the Corridor of Blades, and seeing that the dungeoneer was blindfolded and that around half the width of a narrow corridor was covered by the blades, I'd say it was a very awkward task.

Re:A Darker Knightmare ?
Certainly did, including in Barry Thorne's famous quest. I still think he rather 'got away with it' in the Corridor, as I'm sure one of the blades caught him.

Re:A Darker Knightmare ?
I like the idea. They could make it a tougher version, aimed for people that have, supposeldy, attained squiredom and was looking for Knighthood. Could make for a much more difficult arena and a darker setting as only the most bravest and boldest could prevail through this dungeon for Knighthood.
