Re: Kids' TV Champ - Radio Times vote

Pleased to see KM doing so well - now two years as an active forum member and throughout this time the show has pretty much been on the radar constantly. Long may it continue! I hope people keep voting and that KM doesn't do a Tim Henman (and I'm back in work next week so all hands on deck please ;)...

Re: What age are you...?

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone!

To be honest, the cake disappeared so quickly it was almost as if I'd just stuffed it whole into my knapsack. Not sure it's done my lifeforce status much good though!

Re: Call for Knightmare to return

Just read my original reaction to the Geek Week episode. I said I "would have preferred more navigational challenges" and bemoaned "the lack of wall monster" - the extended ep added two rooms which specifically address both these things! Still a few weird editing errors though - notably the 'put the...

Re: Call for Knightmare to return

For me, a new series would be less like trying to improve the Mona Lisa and more like trying to paint something new which is as good as the Mona Lisa. That is, the original will still be there in all its glory no matter what happens.

The opportunities outweigh the risks IMHO.

Re: Castle locations/forest scenes

Another fantastic set of photos! I'm ashamed to say that I've never visited these places despite living in Swansea for the first 18 years of my life and frequently visiting my folks who now live near Carmarthen.

A case of not appreciating your own back yard I suppose.

Re: Series 4 Team 7 & Gameplay

Aha! Thanks! :)

I must have read this around the same time as I watched the doc and they became a big Knightmare interview cocktail in my brain (not helped by the fact that some of Hugo's responses are are v similar in both).

Re: Series 4 Team 7 & Gameplay

Earlier in ths thread I refer to a couple of things Hugo said in the anniversary documentary around the illusion of choice and killing boring teams. Having just watched the doc again I can't find any quotes along these ones. Am I thinking of another interview? Has the doc been re-edited? Or am I jus...

Re: Any crew - filming locations

If David Rowe has no memory of the window it seems unlikely he drew it - especially given the fact he's recently been digging out his works in progress etc. Unless a specialist artist would have been called in? Seems harder than just using a photo... I don't know if anyone's had a look around but if...

Re: Potential article?

Gosh, really? I understand the space aspect but hadn't appreciated it was quite so expensive. The concept of some kind of KM presence at other conventions is still a good one though. And still all good fodder for the fantasy timeline! (Throw enough pants at the wall and one of them will stick...or s...

Re: Potential article?

Yes, a KM stall at other relevant conventions is a great idea and a 'play the blades' activity would be the most attention grabbing. Possibly a danger of undermining a KM con USP but I suppose if there's another convention it will be a different room anyway... As an aside, what happened to "Knight F...

Re: Potential article?

Yes, I think augmented reality along the lines Greystagg mentions may well be the true path of KM’s long-term future – it seems the natural evolution from the chroma key work done in the eighties. Technology such as Google Glass has the potential to blur the lines between real world and dungeon, bet...

Potential article?

I considered submitting the following as an article but a) I wasn’t entirely satisfied with it and b) I then thought that perhaps others could come up with ideas and the ‘Powers that Be’ can publish an article using all the best ones. Or it can just stay here on the forum! Knightmare – The Only Way ...
