Been a way for a while

Well, I'm not exactly new, but it's been so long since I was last here that it's probably worth my while making another one of these.

Any changes since I was last here that I should know about?

Re:Reverse Knightmare

Now that might be interesting. I presume you're thinking of an Apprentice/Beat the Boss style show which challenges kids to design interesting rooms for a hypothetical Knightmare revival. Personally, if I were doing that, I'd do it as two shows tied to each other. The one you described having the be...

Re:Channel 4 to invest in Kids TV

(Mostly lifted from another site...) Channel 4 has ring-fenced £10m to spend on programmes for 10-to 15 year-olds over the next two years - with a flagship drama series set to take centre stage. C4's move into children's TV follows ITV scaling back its kids output. "This is not a particularly comme...

Re:FAV ROOMS IN SERIES(ANY SERIES)

I was a big fan of the teleporting pads room from S4, along with the Corridor of Blades.

Play Your Cards Right was quite fun, too.

Re:Deaths you'd like to have seen...

A death by one of the early (Olgarth/Granitas) wall monsters would be interesting. In actuality, they'd probably just say something like "None is the score, so I feed on you!" and have the lifeforce appear, but I've always liked the idea of laser beams shooting out the monster's eyes, frying the du...

Re: International Knightmare!

Forget International Knightmare, I'm dreading the day they decide to do a Celebrity Knightmare. ...You mean The Adventure Game? (only with rolling games and no guarantee any of them wouldn't have to walk home from Arg) [...I'm still trying to work out how "The devisers shared a love of Dungeons and...

Re:Invent your own quest objects

If by Quest Object you mean object of the quest (Chalice, Shield, etc), I think the ones that actually meant something which could be worked into the stories of the quests rather than sounding generic and tacked on were cooler. (Your Quest is for the Maid, for example.) An egg of Smirkenorff for tha...

Re:Knightmare chess

Surely coming up with a Knightmare chess variant would be more interesting than coming up with a Knightmare chess set.

And no, I have no clue where you'd start with that either.

Re:Billy's Picky Website Corrections...and other people's, too!

Hmm... Seems to me that the answer to question 2 on the faq page is slightly out of date with Challenge? showed Knightmare Series 3 from Christmas 2002 and Series 4 from June 2003. Series 5 was shown from October 2003. They have now bought the rights for Series 6, 7 & 8 and commenced showing Series ...

Re:Km-VR Pilot Discussion

Something similar to the music that was used for the causeway would work well, but a little more jazzy and less atmospheric, I feel.

Re:Here's a mad idea...

Oh, I played Black and White. And it's a great game. The reason people, for the most part, don't think much part is that they developed the concept about 70 degrees angular from the direction people were expecting them to take. I hear Black and White 2 will be more in line with what people expected ...

Re:Km-VR Pilot Discussion

I suppose it depends who owns it, if it is the original composer still then perhaps as a collective we could could try to persuade him... Ed Welch owns it, and from what I gather, tends to gain more royalties from the show then TC does! Only chance is Ed Welch composing a new version of the tune, I...

Re:Knightmare VR

Therefore, if we get ahead of ourselves, and assume TV bosses unanimously loooovve KM VR (they should, of course, but some of them are stupid), BBC 2 would be a knice home. Was that a reference to Michael Grade? I think if Channel Five picked KM up, it would certainly be a record breaking show then...

Re:Km-VR Pilot Discussion

The dwarf tunnel music is good, although might not be appropriate (although maybe if they darkenned it in higher numbered levels it would work. "Well, it's funky in level 1 because there's no danger a little brains can't avoid dieing to" sort of thing). I do think they could do something with 'they ...
