Re:Positive things about Series 8

The Reach wand seems to be overly-maligned to me, since it gives a new way of doing puzzles in a less unwieldy way than stamping around the floor. Though the main problem with that wand was that where the cursor showed up had nothing whatsoever to do with where the dungeoneer was pointing it... It'...

Re:New member accounts

Judging by the contents of this thread, I may as well say that I didn't vanish after a welcome post and one or two more, but I confess to not looking here all that often :(

Re:Positive things about Series 8

The return to a more confined, interior view was a good one, although the implementation was a mess. The Reach wand seems to be overly-maligned to me, since it gives a new way of doing puzzles in a less unwieldy way than stamping around the floor.

Re:WEBSITE ANNOUNCEMENT

The search function is un-good and no matter how many times I click "always keep me logged in"........ it never keeps me logged in. ;D I'm not ungrateful though, I'm just saying I know what you mean! It works for me, but uses cookies (there's probably no other way it could work), so if you use a di...

Re:quests u did not understand??

Man - Woman (the only alternative that stands up to any scrutiny IMO) Only if you assume that it is referring to a representative of the male half of the human race, and not the alternative name of the race as a whole. Then there isn't one. All other suggestions simply come under "something else", ...

Re:quests u did not understand??

Man - Woman (the only alternative that stands up to any scrutiny IMO) Fire - Douse (admittedly this is stretching it, treating fire as a verb) Light - Heavy Trousers - Hat (rather feeble there) DVD - Live performance (VHS etc. are alternatives, not opposites) Child - Adult Anger - Calm Rule - Disord...

Re:Imagine if Knightmare were revived by...

"But I do that anyway," protests Lord Fear.

That gave me a good laugh.

Re:Perhaps the ultimate modern day Eyeshield journey.

I've heard that that path is closed, and that there's a fairly heft fine for going along it. I've also shown this video to my brother, who said "been there", the lunatic.

Re:The unsung heroes of knightmare/teams who deserved more

I don't remember the series 2 team right now, but for the other two: Giles' team should certainly have one. They seemed to have difficulty after difficulty thrown at them at the end in order to conveniently kill them off, but overcame them. They provided one of the few bits of entertainment in a dul...

Re: todays ep,

Well, if dragging this old thread out is OK, I'll do so a mere four years on (the penalty of discovering this site too late, I suppose). The question was hard. I'd have known it at that age, but only because I'd been taken there :) Whilst Avebury is reasonably famous, it's not exactly commonly famou...

Re:If it ain't broke...

-'Personally, I preferred both the Rowe art and the CGI to the colour-adjusted castle photographs'-. ..and so did I, but we were desparate to get more movement into something that was looking increasingly static. Robert Harris's ability to overlay David's artwork with a black stencil, and then airb...

Re:Greetings

Thanks for that everyone, and for mollifying my over-inflated ego somewhat! I hope to stick around for a while; I'll certainly be here until I've got through all the episodes again, and I'm only half way through Season 2 at the moment. Unfortunately I get the impression that I've discovered this sit...

Re:Question about Season 2 *SPOILERS for when S2 shows*

Years since the last reply, but I've just watched this one on Youtube, so I'll wade in... I don't see where there was any leeway in picking up the wrong quest object, because I couldn't see any clues whatsoever about which objects to take. Even level 3 shouldn't be down to blind luck if you've not m...

Re:FAV ROOMS IN SERIES(ANY SERIES)

The Series 3, Level 3 entrance had a very intimidating look to it for reasons I can't quite explain, but are something to do with being far underground, without help being anywhere near. Some real underground tunnels look the same in photos, although thankfully I've not felt quite the same in realit...
