Re: Series 7 - Episode 10

and little challenge for the team in solving a four-letter anagram Oh you mean like "P-a-t-h" and "F-i-n-d" in the great causeway of level 3 in Series 6 as the final challenge before the quest object room? LOL. Indeed. With that in mind, I can easily believe it to be DICE. In the case of the Great ...

Re: Knightmare meets automatic subtitles

In honour of the forum's members totalling 888, the Teletext/Ceefax number for subtitles, here's the Knightmare clip with auto subtitles to beat them all. The Dungeoneer Encounters Two Strange Monks a.k.a. Series 5 Quest 1: Kathryn meets Brother Mace and Sylvester Hands in Wolfglade It happens withi...

Re: Series 7 - Episode 10

Due credit to TheBrollachan, who had already suggested it earlier in the thread: Suppose that you may have to rearrange the letters plus the missing ones to make the word/spell. So if the missing letter was "E" then the word/spell could be: D-I-C-E With no theory as to what a DICE spell would have d...

Questions for Brett (Series 4 Team 8)

>> You look at your hands as you "fade away" when Treguard spellcasts D-I-S-M-I-S-S. Did you improvise this or did a memeber of the production team ask you to do it. Or likewise did you ask them if you could do it? (I love that little touch by the way. I love that you were so "into" the show compar...

Re: From little Closes do Cults and Plagues grow...BROOKSIDE!

The plague mentioned by Robin the title of this thread refers to a storyline where a mysterious virus struck the Brookside residents, forcing them to cordon off Brookside Close. Episode 1544 from that unfortunately prescient storyline was transmitted 25 years ago today; you may be able to find it on...

Re: The Crystal Maze: Virtual Knightmare

Thanks for the links, James. I'd like to think that Virtual Knightmare is an official name, but it may just be what The Crystal Maze Database has called this game. Al Murray's (successful) attempt at the game was particularly enjoyable, with excellent guiding by Ashley Taylor Dawson. It included an ...

Re: Stay safe all!

Well said, Chris. We can make it through the labyrinths of fear. Wishing everyone life force status green. In the meantime, Merlin and Hordriss have deactivated their calling names; the Crazed Heifer is now surrounded by blockers; Lord Fear is trying to cast-lock a sanitisation spell on Hands; Tregu...

Re: Unintended Knightmare references on TV

After last weekend's Doctor Who, people are wondering who the Timeless Child is. Until we know more, I'm happy to treat it as a nod to Knightmare. You just have to remove the eless. It seemed appropriate to learn of the Doctor's creative influence in an episode whose title includes the Knightmare c...

Re: Joanne Heywood in Tesco Food Love Stories advert

Welcome back to the zone, Harvey! I remember you describing Joanne Heywood's Activia advert as 'quite a gig' and you could say the same here. It's certainly a big marketing campaign that Joanne is fronting. Perhaps her experience of young quartets on Knightmare gave her an edge. I wonder who's done ...

Re: Unintended Knightmare references on TV

Star Trek: Picard has so far featured elf portals a.k.a. teleportation doorways (though admittedly older Star Trek episodes had examples, plus the obvious transporter pads) and a corridor with blocks that seem to slide from one wall to the other, reminding me of Knightmare's Block & Tackle.

Re: Unintended Knightmare references in the news

According to The Times today, Jess Phillips - who has been known to refer to Knightmare in tweets - 'will at least shake up the [Labour leadership] campaign by asking tough questions and injecting much needed vim.'

Not unlike Merlin in Series 3 then.
