Re: Morghanna - does it mean anything?

I do have House of Hell :) and I should have added it to my interesting books list, as its the only one set in the "Real" world as such. I thought it was a very good book, although I agree that you can get stuck in the dead ends and I have to admit I never really worked out how to finish it before I...

Corrdior of Blades

I have to say, whoever came up with the idea of that must have been a genius of sadism or just a genius, as it needed both dungeoneers wits and skill and of their team members to dodge the baldes on either side - although why didn't they just lie flat during most of the encounters? the blades would ...

Re: is it just me or..

And then of course you have things like near deaths and deaths in the Corridor of blades.. especially those who if they had only moved a cm to the left or right wouldn't have been removed from the game  :-/

The most tense part of the game anytime

If anyone is interested in what we are talking about, have a look at http://www.fightingfantasy.com as it is a website that contains information about all the books written and although it is no longer frequently updated it has full and completely information/reviews about the books along with solut...

Re: Morghanna - does it mean anything?

Great, another Fighting Fantasy fan :D - I used to get the books when I was younger too, I still do, originals off ebay :D A good source if you want to collect certain books Favourite Books and ones I reccommend: 1. Deathtrap Dungeon (My 1st book and the best) 2. Keep of the Lich Lord (multiple succ...

Re: Fraud!

I don't know what you think, but from what I remember and double checked from some of the video footage of the series I think that the majority of deaths were caused mainly by the teams themselves. The only real "near miss" case in my opinion was in one of the early series when a team jumped over a ...

Re: Opinions wanted...

Moggie (its the find nicknames for Mogdred contest) was the best villain in my opinion - but them I always prefer classic unknown-motive villans :) Fear is a good villan as villans go though - but he was too humourous in my opinion (not that I'm saying I dislike humour but its more effective if you ...

Re: lord fear, castle, Pools and knights

I always thought when I was younger that Morgdred was a cross between the Emperor out of Starwars and a monk :D Although I hated some of the later series characters I did like the new lord fear backgrounds and his meddling with technology / alien artifacts background. It kind of made it more interes...

Re: Series 2

In many ways I preferred these earlier series to the later "outdoors" series - they were dark, brooding, deadly (with creatures like the cavern weights and goblins roaming about) and had an enemy that could appear out of nowhere. I do have to agree with Casper the key though he wasn't half as annoyi...

Re: KNIGHTMARE RETURNS TO CITV

This new format worries in a way. Its a really good concept but it seems it could take the Dungeoneers Destiny(TM) out of their own hands - what happens if you get a particularly malicious audience and it decides to put as many traps in the dungeoneers path as possible? :) However, the main importan...
