Non-related
How about a general chat section? You know that is non-related to Knightmare.

Re: Non-related
The NKTP forum was supposed to be for exactly that purpose, but now it has closed I suppose a replacement is needed.
I am not interested in running a non-knightmare related board on this forum (can't afford the extra bandwidth and its meant to be a Knightmare forum ) but I might 're-format' the old Network54 board for that and then link to it from here.

The forum is still there, just unlinked. And it was underused anyway but you can still use it if you wish, still postable on anyway. The NKTP forum was supposed to be for exactly that purpose, but now it has closed I suppose a replacement is needed.
The URL: http://go.ezboard.com/bnktp - still has the purple and blue colours! I may change it to the Knightmare.com colours and style though, I'll see how it goes.

Oh right, didn't realise it was still postable
I've added a link to it from the front of this Forum, so yeah, lets see how it goes.

Re: Non-related
I have created a new forum (or rather re-formatted the old Bravenet forum) for off-topic discussion, and to act as a backup for Knightmare discussion if this forum is down. It is at http://pub11.bravenet.com/forum/show.ph ... =892780421 and will look familiar to those who were visiting this site 2+ years ago!
Some people have suggested that I simply create another section on this forum for off-topic discussion. Unfortunately bandwidth is limited (and costly) and I don't want to use up any more than is necessary. Anyway, its a Knightmare forum, and unrelated discussion can go elsewhere :)

We need a social-type forum...
...for discussing things other than Knightmare. Sometimes I want to talk about other stuff with everyone, like TV, films etc. Hardly anyone visits the backup forum we have, so unless people post there more then I think we should have a Social Forum on this board. What do other people think? (Sorry if this has been mentioned before - I'm not sure if it has).

Re: We need a social-type forum...
Hi,
We don't have a separate board for off-topic discussion because of the costs of extra bandwidth that would be required to accommodate it.
Previously there used to be an separate off-topic Knightmare board on the NKTP website which worked quite well for a while, but that closed down so the off-topic/backup forum you see now is essentially the replacement.

Thanks for letting me know :) The back-up forum seems alright to me, I'll just have to post something in there and hope people reply to it.

Re: We need a social-type forum...
i guess, if we could find another host, we could find a way to host the forum... i dont know if anyone keeps their computer on 24/7 and has broadband, if so it is possible to host a forum on it...
Either that or we all band together and donate some cash so we can contribute to the bandwidth...

Why is the Off Topic/Backup forum in Threaded mode, while the rest of the forums are Flat? Threaded has to be the worst forum viewing option, IMO - you have to wait for each message to load separately.

Re: We need a social-type forum...
It's just a free forum from Bravenet with no option to change the way the forum appears. Why is the Off Topic/Backup forum in Threaded mode, while the rest of the forums are Flat? Threaded has to be the worst forum viewing option, IMO - you have to wait for each message to load separately.
I would like to now make a request - is there anyone out there who would like to set-up and moderate a replacement social/off-topic/backup forum for this website? I think this would be the best way forward so I can concentrate on this forum.
http://www.proboards.com/ seems pretty similar in style to this forum and is free. Any takers?
