There is now a video online with clips of all those celebrity appearances.I wrote: 20 Jun 2011, 19:15 While They Were Famous: Celebrity appearances on Brookside. From the Pope to Lily Savage, there was something to suit all tastes.
In November 2003, days after Brookside had ended on Channel 4, I made a post on this forum in which I imagined a continuing version of Brookside Close where Brookside characters interacted with visiting characters from another series (namely Knightmare).
Last month that's exactly what happened via a crossover within Hollyoaks (and Hollyoaks Later). If I tried to use exclamation marks, one wouldn't be enough, so I'll restrict myself to full stops.
This one-off return, with original actors filmed at the original Brookside Close location, is comparable to Knightmare's one-off return in YouTube Geek Week 2013 with original actors filmed in the studio where Knightmare was made, including a bearded character who appeared from the first episode onwards.
