Re: Series 1 - Episode 6

To put the recent ratings into perspective, Knightmare only appeared in the top 10 four times during its entire original Challenge run: 18/06/2003 (#9, 80,000) 12/07/2003 (#8, 80,000) 22/10/2003 (#6, 100,000) 26/05/2004 (#10, 60,000) From September 2004 it moved to an early morning slot so obviously...

Re: Series 1 - Episode 7

Canadanne - That's very true. In a parallel universe that could have been their death, imagine Treguard saying "Oh dear, team. What a pity you gave Lillith the soap instead of that silly bar of gold. Now it looks like you're doomed to digestion!" and the life-force death sequence appearing...

Re: Pilot footage

I imagine if he mentioned them then it probably exists...more probably that he simply never had the time to encode them.

Thankfully we have the pilot script to enjoy ;)

Knightmare Live in Edinburgh - 13/08/2013

All dungeoneer spots have now been filled thanks to the Kickstarter campaign, which charged £30 for the privilege! Looks like someone called Sarah will be the dungeoneer when I see it on August 13th :)

Re: Series 1 Episode 4

Only in Knightmare can 'Remember the druids, team!' be a useful clue to a question :D It's somewhat wonderful to watch this series having no idea about the fate of any of the quests - it's been so long since I watched the show, and particularly this series that it's like I'm seeing them for the firs...

Re: Knightmare urban myths

MYTH: The show was full of dungeoneers called Simon sidestepping left and dying :p (obviously this happened just the once, but it's become such a popular clip it's almost overshadowed the rest of the series) MYTH: Knightmare ended because of rapidly falling ratings (from Everything2's decent but ter...

Re: Series 1 Episode 3

After a strong but shaky start in the first two episodes, it's here on we really start to see the series step itself up a notch. This team are somewhat underrated I think, the dungeoneer's the first to genuinely try and immerse themselves in the world ("Simon...my lady") plus they're not a...

Re: Knightmare Possibly coming back to Challenge

Can they not just put it together with Blockbusters, and make it 1992 all over again? :D This would be incredible news and for me I'd finally be able to record the episodes onto DVD. I recorded them all back in 2004-6, but on VHS tape - it would be great to get pristine digital copies! From the choi...

Re: Children's ITV on ITV1 bites the dust!

I'm a bit confused. All CITV programmes were cancelled in about 2006 (including the long-running How 2 and Art Attack) and CITV was removed from ITV1 in 2007, since then it's just been Midsomer Murders and Inspector Morse repeats. So I thought this had happened years ago - there's no programmes to m...

Re: Knightmare Pilot: Script now Online

Update - the scans have been emailed, and it's just a case now of copying them all to my computer (pages 21 onwards are in one file, but the others are in individual emails), renaming them from Scan001.pdf into something a bit easier to manage, and then I'll email Alan them all. I'm just about to he...

Re: Knightmare Pilot: Script now Online

Thanks for the reminder :) I've been awful at this - immense apologies. Without going into too much detail, it's been a hugely eventful year for me and I simply haven't been able to accomplish this so far. As my mum is able to do free photocopies and scans at work, she is happy to do this for me thi...

Re: Knightmare Pilot: Script now Online

Hello! Yeah, huge apologies for this taking much much longer than I'd originally intended. I still have the script kept safely but still no scanner to replace the old one :( The photocopies, though, is a very very good idea and I can use one of the machines at my college, providing they let me. I wo...
