In one round of Countdown today, the contestants came up with both PICKLE and MALICE!

Re: Room background sources
I commented on the fire cave being based on the giant's cave when I first noticed it, and David Rowe's book mentions how it was created. I was aware of the snake room being re-used for the Wheel of Fate, but I don't think I'd ever realised that part of it appears in the lion's head room - good spot!...

Re: Temporal Discussion, A KM podcast
Episode 5, our longest, but by no means shortest, is now available at https://open.spotify.com/show/5vzvr94D6M11BW3MpHmd0T. Learn about Folly's dangly bits with David Bulmer! 43 mins in - FIND THE DUCK. I *adored* that book and I've never come across anyone else who had it! (I also had a frog one.)...

Re: Phrases used in Knightmare
And finally... does anyone know if the " Ooooh, naaasty " catchphrase was borrowed from Leslie Phillips in The Navy Lark (consciously or otherwise)? It may just be coincidence, but their delivery is so similar, I'm wondering if Hugo Myatt was a fan! Hugo has answered this question himself...

I assume she made it up. She uses the same insult for Sly Hands and Lord Fear!

Alec Westwood interview
If anyone hasn't seen it yet, the Knightmare Live Twitch interview with Alec Westwood is fantastic. He shares some headcanons about Folly that fit really nicely with stuff that's hinted at in the first book (even though he didn't know about Folly being in the book!), and reveals some information abo...

Re: Temporal Discussion, A KM podcast
Treguard's " Oh dear, what a pity, never mind " always reminds me of Willy Wonka. Glad someone else had the same thought! The trust betrayal part of the riddle is about grassing up an accomplice, isn't it? (I assumed " when common said " was a hint that the second meaning of gras...

Re: Temporal Discussion, A KM podcast
I'm delighted there's now a dedicated Knightmare podcast. Can't believe the idea had never occurred to me, despite the show being featured in episodes of various other podcasts. I really enjoyed the first episode - didn't entirely agree with every criticism, but most of it had me nodding and smiling...

Re: Series 8 - Episode 6
I felt really sorry for team 3. Nathan was one of the best dungeoneers ever. Rather like Sophia's team (S6 T6) they were an excellent team that were actually better than a couple of the winning teams down the years. It wouldn't have been undeserved if they had triumphed. Fully agreed! They are one ...

Re: Castle locations/forest scenes
These are great. That gift shop must be the biggest change to a KM location out of them all. Yeah, I think so. Unless you count the 'flower girl' building from Series 5 which has been moved to a different part of the museum! The shot of those tall standing stones (where the dungeoneer first appears...
