Re: Series 6 Episode 3
One must wonder how in the heck the Powers That Be come into possession of all the Blocker/Dreadnort passwords anyhow? Lord Fears' security leaks like a sieve! XD Through spyglasses. Several times teams have obtained blocker passwords and causeway paths through spying on Lord Fear at the moment he ...

Re: Series 5 - Episode 15
They really had a shocker in the descender. Told to descend 7 levels, Ian told Duncan to say, "Stop!" but he reacted too slowly and also mumbled it and they kept going. Finally stopped in the wrong place. Entered into a super-fast corridor of blades and were sliced almost immediately! 8-o...

Re: Series 5 Episode 15 (Fri. 21st)
When going down in the descender, do you only count doors and ignore windows? It seems to go window - door- window - door, so the dungeoneer has to say halt after passing the sixth door if they are descending seven levels. It is no good shouting halt when the seventh door appears as the descender wi...

I've played snap as a child but have never heard of "joker takes all" used in it.

Re: Series 4 - Episode 16
The block and tackle room initially looked to be a blatant attempt to kill them to finish the series at a cnvenient time. He entered at an awkward angle, they did a zig-zag tour of the right hand side of the room before finding the exit (turn 45 degrees right is what you want), they were very lucky ...

Re: Series 4 Episode 14
I thought the block and tackle room in this episode was particularly unfair. The dungeoneer entered at a 45 degree angle facing to the left, facing where the floor crumbles away first. With the panic when the room starts to go haywire, the advisors have very little time to realign the dungeoneer and...

Re: Series 4 - Episode 13
These knightmare baddies remind me of Bond villains. Instead of taking an immediate opportunity for a face-to-face guarenteed killing of the hero, they come up with an over-complex method which has a significant chance of failing, purely because of their need to gloat.

Re: Series 3 team 4 (Leo)
I think the riddle was something like: "There is a circle of stones at Stonehenge, but where else in England is such a ring to be found?" The answer was Avonbury. Apparently. Avebury. It really is quite famous, you know. ;-) It might be, but I thought it was an over the top hard question....

Re: Series 2 - Episode 15
I think the death was fair. They only got one riddle, but it was an easy riddle that they should have known, it was just asked in a slightly cryptic way. It is nowhere near as bad as series 3 Leo failing a very tough riddle (how many adults have heard of Avebury stone circle, never mind young childr...

Re: Series 2 - Episode 12
In my opinion, Julian's team are the least impressive winners of Knightmare. It's a disgrace that they go down as more successful than Leo or Martin in the history books! What strikes me about this wining team was the lack of riddles compared to many other teams. Several of the riddles I haven't kn...

Re: Series 2 - Episode 11
The death of the first team was horribly unfair. When they were in the room with the medal pieces, they went for the left one and the mechanical warrier came in and went directly towards the right hand piece. It was impossible for them to collect all pieces at this point, so it basically comes down ...

Re: Series 2 - Episode 9
Combat chess has a good atmosphere, but it's not really much of a puzzle. In chess, it's not possible to get a King in checkmate with only a King and a Bishop, and in Combat Chess, a Bishop has to try and capture a Knight single-handed. You have to be really bad at chess to lose it. It is possible ...

Re: Re:Series 2 - Episode 6
Combat chess is very tense stuff, but if you think about it it's more or less inevitable that the dungeoneer will succeed. It's impossible for a player to make checkmate with only a king and a bishop, so how can a player with only a bishop capture a piece that has the knight's move? It is possible ...
