Knightmare references in games
I noticed once when playing Eye of the Beholder 2 (good game by the way - I played it on an Amiga but was able to download a copy of the PC version) that Dran (the main enemy) at one point, says "Stay a while...Stay forever". This looks very like Mogdred's "Play a while...play forever" in series 2. Is one of them likely to be taken from the other, or is it coincidence? (And yes, I did see SkipTheDreadnaught's Stay a while...Stay FOREVER in another thread).
Re:Play (stay) a while - Play FOREVER
Probably coincidence.
nowt wrong with that tho'...

There are but 2 rules in this realm:-
1) He who sees first is the winner...
2) He who is seen first is toast...

Coincidence indeed, yet a good one ~ Is a fantastic death.

Very creepy - I'd say a coincidence, but then who can tell..?
That particular death seemed quite unfair, as I can't think exactly what the team did wrong to merit getting into a situation they couldn't argue themselves out of. I'll have to watch it again.
Anyway, good night, good people!

They ignored the clue "Accept the challenge." Another way of saying that is "Pick up the gauntlet" but they didn't take it from the clue room table, and therefore couldn't use it against the catacombite. That limited the choice of exits from the chamber they were in to just one.

Re:Unintended KM References
In the Rare game "Conker's Bad Fur Day" Greg the grim reaper refers to the Powers that Be, and I quote...
"According to the Powers that be - I I'm just doing my job, I do what I'm told. I don't even get paid very much - Apparently, sqirrels can have as many lives as they think they can get away with."

And in worms 3d, some of the worms can be heard giving a low, gravelly growl of "Lovely"...

Hugo Myatt's voice isn't the only Knightmare-related facet of the "FABLE" game. One of the villagers says that he "Doesn't often get a nice day orf like this". Also, This probably isn't even classed as a reference, but there's also a trader who, like Gundrada, can't pronounce his 'R's...

I meant Gundwada.
While we're on the subject, it get's better. In FABLE, it's actually possible to summon a magic, etheral floating sword to fend of enemies!

Re:Unintended KM References
In the Reality on the Norm games, there are frequent references to the 'Powers That Be'.

If 'exclude' is the opposite of 'include', then what's the opposite of 'increment'?

Re:Unintended KM References
This might have been mentioned already, but there is a card game called Knightmare Chess. Not to mention an American comic book wherein the hero is called Knightmare. I think there was a character called Knightmare in Soul Calibur on the Playstation as well.
