My lawyer says it is, and Festus? HA! Remember the pic of him in the topic Mrs G's Fave Holiday...? Ill sit on him!
Okay, so he's a spaniel derivative. He can still chew through walls, though.

Series 2 was class with the dungeon disintergrating, series 3 was even better and more scary with that big booming trombone.  Series 5 was quite good as well, and series 3 was hilarious.  I like scary stuff though, and 3 has to be my favourite.

I know I've said it before, and I know I'm in a tiny minority, but why can't people leave off Ed Tudor-Pole? He was even better than Richard O'Brien!

I'm sorry! Perhaps I might be excused by the fact I made that comment three months ago.

*wills him not to notice the anti-E-T-P comment I posted elsewhere a couple of days ago*

erm...well i know i prefered Mr. O'Brian. people say ETP ruined crystal maze but thats probably unfair. the maze got achanged a bit when he joined so it could just have easily been that.

No pickle, dear, Ed's cosmic handshakes, floppy hair and 'legs wide' stance whilst brandishing a whip were what ruined the Crystal Maze.

and isn't it rather sad that now at least 4 of us have disclosed our crystal maze watching? Let's hope this doesn't get too fanatical and lets face it, stoopid adults finding crystals are nowhere near as entertaining as stoopid kids guiding their friends into walls, off cliffs or getting them to sidestep left, for example,  hehe

Don't forget his poor jokes, oh so predictable introductions, relentless over-enthusiasm (he taught Melinda Messenger all she knows!) and hideous laugh.

Keep on rocking!

End of season

Post by TheBrollachan »

Here's a question, which series had the best (and worst) ending to the season?

- Series 1: The team conveniantly died.
- Series 2 & 3: The dungeon collapsed to be reformed.
- Series 4: A '180 degree phase shift'.
- Series 5: Dungeons were frozen over.
- Series 6: Red dragon - quest changed to retrieve lightening rod.
- Series 7: Troll & fixed quest.
- Series 8: The bell symbolising the end of the quest season.

Though none of the finales really fitted with the quest in action, my personal favourite would be S7 'Troll-hammer'.

The team had effectively won the quest by getting to the final rooms and didn't redeem the Shield because they had to get the hammer to save Dunshelm (humility in a gameshow? Hmm, interesting! :) ).

The quest wasn't cut short or diverted. It simply had a more customised ending. It's the only finale that truly fits the quest...

My personal preference is series 3's ending. I found it quite scary at the time (I was seven years old at the time).
Subject to change.

I think Series 6 was the best end. I didnt like the fixed end to Barry's quest. And from the summary of the end of series 8 i think its going to be the worst. Maybe 1, but then i havent seen that yet -
