Series 4 - Episode 9

Post by Pooka »

One of the finest moments ever was on Challenge? today. My granny and I were watching it (we do every day) and I told her to look, as I knew what was coming.

Advisor: "Simon - sidestep to your left..."

(Long pause)

Granny: "What did they do that for?"

Classic.  ;D

Isn't it just?!

The most amusing thing about it is that after the kid dies, his mate that TOLD him to step left has this really gormless look on his face almost like 'Why did he step off the floor when I told him to step left?!'

It's been almost two hours and I haven't stopped giggling! hehe

I bet they argued about that for a while.

Advisor 2: "Why'd you tell him to step left?"
Advisor 1: "At least I said something. You both just sat there the entire time."
Advisor 3: "I wonder when Pat's coming with the morning post."

That may only make sense if you've read the other threads. They all seemed very put out and eager to throw their clipboards on the table, but daren't while Hugo was talking. I wonder where all the poor clipboards go when he DISMISSes the teams- the kidsies all end up safe and well, but the clipboards disappear. I demand to know. I feel for the wooden ones- it's not their fault, after all.

You know that is so true, those poor clipboards, all they do is try and provide a service and they get written all over! Lets not forget the pencils too! Their maltreatment is even worse, they get chewed and sharpened and, in later series, apparently dropped into the well-thing the advisors have to look in to see the action!

Oh yes, you're right. The pencils disappear without trace in the DISMISSing process too. The poor loves- and we've only recognised their plight after 15 years. I feel so ashamed of my insensitivity.

One other thing I'd never noticed in this episode is the amusing things the girls say in Oakley's glade. When the goblins appear, one of the advisors suggests jumping "into the hole"- meaning, it seems, the portal at the very back of the room. The attempt to scare off the goblins by shouting made me laugh too. No dears, that tactic doesn't work on everything, just the assassins.

Ahhhhh yes Was'nt it just the best Knightmare moment ever, I was in fits of laughter for ages(me thinks I will have to watch that episode again before I go to bed :) )
Also watch the episode again and look carefully at Pickle, he is hiding his face behind his hand and you can tell he is deseratly trying not to piss himself with laughter

I still feel it was a shame the way they died though because they were a good team and were doing very too. I wonder how far they would have got if they didnt cock up.

Anyway cant wait for Thursdays and Fridays Episode, we finally get to see the winning quest :)

Certainly a fantastic memory....I wonder what Hugo Myatt and David Learner thought of some teams, you just know that in the tea break there they will have been laughing like crazy about the team.

Will have to find out one day what they talked about :-)

Series 4 Episode 9

Post by Leggy1210 »

Series 4 Episode 9 posted! (http://www.legs-world.co.uk/nostalgia/k ... ries4.html)
Some of the older episodes have been removed to make room...!

Fave bit of this episode had to be when the girl lifted the helmet to see what all the fuss with the goblins was about! She sounded really panicked! :)

I have the E-Donkey files in the file share on my local computer... they will always be available - I have no worries about diskspace/bandwidth there  :)
