Re:Knightmare Rollercoaster!
Hopefully it can have a positive effect that makes a few people's minds recall the TV programme of the same name.
I'm sure the ride itself will also give people one hell of a fright.

The round table knights ain't getting out of this one...
Only semi KM related but perhaps site related.
As regulars may know, there has been a "Knightmare" Rollercoaster at Camelot theme park in the north of England for several years now. (only related by name but still of interest).
Sadly it seems the park has/is about to close.

There are but 2 rules in this realm:-

So the park managed to stay open after all. Having a popular Camelot-based series on TV must have helped.

Re: Knightmare references
I notice two things not mentioned in the reference topic.
The first being the obviously reference in the Crystal Maze, with the KM style room in series three http://crystalmaze.marcgerrish.com/games/knightmare.htm
And there was a Roller Coaster called Knightmare
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uxf1vJVh88o
The Coaster was up for sale not long ago and Pleasurewood hills were looking into buying it (would be quite fitting for the ride to be re-homed around theses parts) turned out to be way to expensive and last I heard from the hills it was sold and sent to a park in Iraq. Pity.

Re: Knightmare references
I've been on that rollercoaster! Camelot theme park wasn't too far away from where I used to live. When I was at primary school, we used to go there every year just before we broke up for the summer holidays. There was a dragon ride there and they used to have jousting shows too. Good times!
Shame if the rollercoaster was sent to Iraq, bit of a random place to go.

Camelot was a great place to go and quite Knightmare-ish really. Treguard would have looked at home wandering around there!

Yes Camelot holds great memories for me! My fav ride was the Beast! Yes Treguard would be in his element there along with Pickle I'd say!TimeMaster wrote:Camelot was a great place to go and quite Knightmare-ish really. Treguard would have looked at home wandering around there!

Ah someone moved my post,, I thought it had been deleted, didn't realise there was already a topic.
Yes according to PWH is was sold and sent to a park in Irag, it's a real pity, But the cost was just way out of budget.
Never been to any of theses popular theme parks, one of the things I like but never ever get round to doing/visiting. Other than the Hills I have been to Heide Park Resort in Germany when I lived out there in the late 80s/early 90s.
