RICH/POWERFUL KM FANS

Post by superdungeoneer »

Lets face it money talks. all of those KM fans who are rich, powerful or for some reason have a large amount of influence over the TV industry need to unite. If televirtual do not get KM recommissioned we need to unite and bring the show back ourselves.
The show cost 50.000 pounds per episode to make so this our target. Lets get all the KM fans out then to send money to a KM charity. If we can scrap 800.000 together thats a 16-part series already. Apparently Km had an audience of 5 Million fans. thats a CONTRIBUTION OF LESS THAN 20P from each person.

It's an impressive idea, I'll grant you, but unfortunately this ikkle forum here is a little short of the 5,000,000 members mark. Sadly, I reckon that the people who are rich, powerful and have industry influence are licensing the next series of Pop Idol, and wouldn't look anywhere near a show featuring goblins and suchlike.

That said, anyone who saw Emma and Kitten get kicked out of the Big Brother house would have welcomed a sneak attack from the goblin horde.

Hmm. OK, 800,000 divided by 580 is...er, about £1379.31. That's all we need to chip in!

Alright we'll commission a 10/ 12 episode series. that will slash the price as bit.

Doubtful for it to happen, but it isn't unheard of. Wasn't there a season of farscape funded like that? Lets just not go into the attempt to get a fanfunded season of doctor who (the year out during Colin Baker's tenure).

...Actually, that might be an idea. If televirtual don't manage to get KM recommissioned, every one of us that can't sing should sing at influential people in television land until someone gives in.

At the current moment the closest we have to a KM project is the RPG, which will be returning in the near future with any luck )and we haven't had much of that recently). We operate on a shoe string budget but we manage to make a decent attempt on it.

Fan projects are always worthy, just in todays TV climate, you need an awful lot of money if you wish to get anywhere. This is why I am happy sticking to the online gaming for now....

Here's a better suggestion. If you happen to work at a TV company, show the televirtual site & clips to your managers. Hopefully they'll show it to others, such as those who commission TV programmes. Well that method has got more chance of working.

*Ducks as the pork comes in low for a bombing run*

I don't rate this anymore than anyone else but it has happened at least once...

Need anyone be reminded of our collective good friend James_P and his cronies @ Challenge? TV?
