Knightmare for adults?

How might you change Knightmare if a new series were to be made?

Knightmare for adults?

Post by Ocarina »

Hey there, im new here. But I loved Knightmare as a kid, but never got on it, sad I know.

But wouldnt it be great if there was a version of Knightmare for adults, adult players I mean (not rudeness)? Itd give more room for scariness and, of course, give me the chance to be on Knightmare myself :P

Anyone else think thatd be fun?

You're in luck, Becky! :) Along with the new Knightmare VR that is already in development, TeleVirtual are also developing a similar gameshow called Timegate, which will, in effect, be a more adult version of KM.

Well, it'll be a while yet I'm afraid. TG won't be launched until after the first season of KM VR has been broadcast but there's still plenty to look forward to. And yes, you'll be exactly the right age to apply for a role on TimeGate! (Many happy returns in a couple of days, btw!)

I don't think they would get away with having a adult version in the style of the last half.
I guess a more dungeon based puzzle game like the 1st half would be more suited for adult players.

1 person = Wise

4 people [Team + Dungeoneer] = Usually sensible

The public at large??? = "Ooooooooooh Naaaaaaasty!"

How do you confuse a modern Game-show player? Simple, make the answer SO obviously they can't see it staring them in the face!

(Memories of an early season "Bowl of water vs 'Drop in the ocean' " riddle come to mind)

Just to clarify, I don't think that that's exactly what was said. I believe the official position is that TimeGate has been put on ice while the new Km is developed. Whether TimeGate development will be resumed after the new series airs (if it airs, but I'm confident it will be made) isn't known. I'm sure it will be but nothing has been said, I don't think, as to when that might happen.

Adult Version Of Knightmare !

Post by rogue1983 »

I don't know if this is a good idea but my friends and I have been discussing the possibility of an adult version of Knightmare.
We think it will be a great idea for late night enterainment and comedy.
Please leave your comments here if you think so too.
Thank you.

In fact, about five or six years ago this was exactly what was in development. It was going to be called Timegate, and you can find references to it if you search on the site. It was put on hold when Televirtual decided to try and make Knightmare VR instead, but they may (may) come back to it fairly soon once other projects have been completed.

Coolness.
It would be great if they did start [or bring back] an adult version of Knightmare.
My friend used to watch the show when he was a child.
He taped them all [from the first episode to the last] and we always try and solve the clues.

An adult version of Knightmare would be good for scenes of a gorier and haunting nature, and hopefully not for strong language.
