LF starts Series 6 with a challenge that was said in the Challenge TV advert

"Bring on your brightest and your boldest"

Series 6 holds a lot of things that hasn't happened the the previous series's.

and with that...

Let Series 6 BEGIN...

A natty little introduction that was, imo. I believe it was used for CITV's teaser ad in August/early September 1992. I remember getting very excited when I saw it for the first time...

As I should've said earlier (after todays ep) feel free to comment on Today episode now, but still no spoilers for other episodes though!

Right so now we have met Ah Wok and Ridolfo. Smirkenorff has been given a voice :). We still have Julius Scaramonger up to his usual tricks and Skarkill and Lord Fear are still up to the old banter and Skarkill still can't control Tiny and Lord Fear is of course up to his old tricks, but seems to be more deadly i.e. freezing a dungeoneer. He also has a knew residence and knew means of communication - a communication pool and he has also gained a cloak as part of his armour. He has also made the causeways more difficult with the addition of timers/Frightknights. We see Pickle in the forest (now where have I seen that before ?). Also hoe the quest object is chosen is different - they have to choose which object (in a room) and a hexagonal path forms, which they have to go accross the path. There is also the reintroduction of dwarf tunnels - with a difference! There is also the knew lifeforce and to start with the knew theme, music and also showing a dungeoneer (I hope that made sense).

Terrific sound effects and groovy tension music at last! Series 6 is clearly more polished than series 5.

Quite a fast-paced episode I thought, actually, and this team knows its stuff. Quite an improvement on other first teams performances. :)

Amazing what you can do when you've no longer got gritty looking backgrounds that are...'diffused' to put it mildly. ::)

Wasn't so keen on Ah Wok, but 'tis early days...shame there's no Brother Mace... :(

LF's HQ is the same as Series 5 but with a new look.

The reason Ah Wok is abit difficult to understand is because he doesn't say his R's in his words.

eg. instead of Dreadnaught he would say it as D'eadnaught

Ah, finally a chance to record S6 (I have it on video already, but the quality isn't good), my absolute favourite series!

I love the new title sequence, I think it's a lot better than the old one, particularly because this time viewers get an idea of what to expect!

Like the little touch of Pickle being in the greenwood before the quest started.

Now, this team are one of my favourite teams because Matt the Dungeoneer is witty and can speak for himself. The team are v. good - no faffing around.
It's a very good set of rooms too and Lord Fear is on top form - and that new Dreadnort of his still gives me the shivers, even at 23! I have to admit that I like both Ah Wok and Ridolfo (I know a lot of you here are divided in your opinion of them), and good ol' Sly Hands was as disgusting as ever.

It's a great move giving Smirky a voice - especially Clifford Norgate's! When he didn't have a voice he wasn't as entertaining, thank goodness that changed! Oh, and the views are a lot better - no blurry edges when he's flying.
