I think you'll find this is an even bigger surprise.

What would she have done if Hordriss had walked in and discovered her. :)

I imagine he'd have mistaken her for a mireman and walked out again.

Ah the immortal Sidriss eyes and nervous head-twitches! She's still got da touch.

Haha great video, nice to see her doing stuff outside Knightmare! I wish her best of luck with it!

Still got some of that Sidressness to her!

For me, not really. I always expected her to do something quirky in front of a laptop at some point, I just thought it would be in an advert for Confused.com. ;) Maybe as her website takes shape it will reveal more of her acting credits, including which impressions she did on Spitting Image.

Here is another Knightmare alumna in The Bill.

I'm glad everyone's enjoying the Iona video as much as I did when I first saw it. She recently gave a nice reply to a comment I wrote about the video, on her YouTube Channel, which was very kind of her.

I told her that I'd created a link to it on here, to help her get more views and I also said how great it would be if she introduced herself on here at some point in the future. So you never know.

Hello all, it's been a while!

I'm sorry I couldn't get to the Blackpool meet up, life got in the way. I was told by Gareth that Iona Kennedy is resurfacing again and is making her own website, I think there's already been a link to her sketches up on You Tube here. The website's still a work in progress but does have a Guestbook up already :).

I would now like to do a bit of self-promotion! I'm starting a little adventure and I would really, really like people to help me out with it. I've started a Blog over at 'Blogspot', it's all about me trying to get fitter and losing weight.

I would really like my friends to encourage me, post comments, suggest exercises, get me moving, play along too! This is a serious attempt at exercise, and I'm doing this in public to make sure I don't do my usual thing of losing interest very quickly.

I need your help and support, you lovely friends of mine!!

All the best,

Sidriss (Lucy S-W) :D

Have you all seen Iona's showreels on Spotlight? There are videos here (featuring Barbara, Cider With Rosie and a 2002 episode of Brum), and voice clips here (adverts for Mothercare, Direct Finance Recruitment, Cherry 7UP and Fenjal bath oil). I reckon there's a touch of Sidriss about the 7UP one!

Any plans to interview her for the documentary, James? You seem to be working your way through the London-based cast members! Tom Karol would be another good one... :)

What the?! Iona was Mrs Posh?! Someone could have told me earlier; I used to love Brum! How the hell could I not spot her?! ;D

Oh, I think that's actually her own baby in the Barbara clip! Just noticed they share a surname. :)

I didn't hear about it at the time, but the online dating sketch (called 'Irresponsible Parenting') was one of several launched in 2012 to coincide with the Olympics. You can also see Iona in the Non Competitive Olympics trailer and two other sketches, 'The Whole Truth' and 'The Motorist'! (The former is again slightly on the risqué side!)

Thank you for finding these. It's a shame they lay undiscovered for so long! The uncredited song in 'The Motorist' is I'm In Love With My Car: in my opinion, the worst song from Queen's best album. If you watched Question Time after Margaret Thatcher died, you'll have seen the inside of the school featured. Iona knows a thing or two about Margaret Thatcher from playing a Knightmare Series 8 character who seemed to evoke her...
