Post by Wolfshead »

Hi,

Ive ben a Knightmare fan sicne the early days visitted this site many times.

I am 23 years old and am studying History at Lancaster University and am hoping to do an Master next year. Most of my studies have been on the Middle Ages and it was the Knightmare books that made me want to learn more Medieval Europe and got me interested in fantassy gaenre.

I have been glad to see Knightmare on challenge and am eagerly looking forward to seeing series 1 and 2 for the first time in 16-17 years.

Knightmare got me into the fantasy scene too, Dungeons and Dragons and all that kindof thing.

I blame Knightmare for turning me into a nerd. ;)

As do I. ;) *fellow D&D player and fantasy geek* Oh, and are you just an ocarina, or are you an Ocarina of Time?

Oh yes, welcome to both of you as well.

Ah, thought it might have been a Zelda reference. *Zelda-addict* Cool name though.

I never got hold of Majora's Mask, it seems to be bloody rare now...

And yes, the Gameboy games are good too, I really liked the Oracle GBC/GBA games. *adds another name to the list*

D&D's alright I gues, but I never understood why Venger had only one horn. He looked a bit dumb.

Besides Knightmare I've enjoyed Tokein, Pratchet and Cornwell. Not Sharpe though, it's too modern. I prefered the Arthurian and Grail Quest novels.

I'm not really that big on Arthurian legend, but Pendragon has a ring to it. I reckon Beowolf is a lot better.

Is there a Knightmare book where Treguard has to find the lost son of Richard I.

Close enough. There was a lost child of Coeur de Lion in the book, which was indeed called Fortress Of Assassins.
