Parody of Mistletoe and Wine by Cliff Richard

Post by Drassil »

Based on Mistletoe and Wine by Cliff Richard (1988). By coincidence, I recall one of his concerts being broadcast not long after the series in question ended. Video, Lyrics

Tim Child is the king of chromakey things
The summer's passed, there's a new beginning
"Enter, stranger", start the show
Roll the die, off we go

Series 3
Gavin Gillespie
Riddle score of three out of three
The bog was quite dire
And tricky to see
They didn't rejoice
When they heard "Ooh nasty"

A year of questing, but not of succeeding
A year of testing, not retrieving
But for watchers this was no disaster
Even with fake tan on our dungeon master

Series 3
Massive toes to flee
Children meeting the Brangwen Shee
There's lots of enquiries
They ask, "Where am I?"
You're all in a room
And 11 will die

"Truth and light"
"Justice bright"

It's a time for jesters, a time for goblins
A time to hear Festus and dodge hobgoblins
Knightmare is love, Knightmare is fear
No time for Christmas, we'll do it next year

Series 3
VIM and ENERGY
Children meeting old Mrs. G
There's caverns of fire
And skulls in the air
A time to rejoice
In the best of Knightmare

Series 3
High difficulty
Three teams made it to Level Three
The moggies shoot fire
The stardust is free
Just make sure you know
All about Avebury

Series 3
Mellisandre's glee
Stood on trapdoors perilously
When Mogdred shows ire
It's "T-O-A-D"
And there's Melly's voice
Telling Ross to hurry

Series 3
Loads of us agree:
The best telly we'll ever see
There's lots to inspire
In its wizardry
So thanks to Tim Child
And to you, ITV

Thanks, Annie. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm pleased with how it came together.

Thank you. I hadn't settled on my festive song parody for this year until I happened to hear it on the radio.
