SHROUD (parody of Proud by Heather Small)

Post by Canadanne »

My belated contribution to #shrudaidthealbum. ;)
Original song here!
-----

I spell D-U-R-H-S one more time
Reversing what we hear is all I've ever tried

A scene out of the ordinary
I can see the spell's not ending
It wants to stay, can't work it out
And things still look the same, yeah

What do you have to say to take off Neil's shroud?
Whatever else can we try?
What do you have to say to shake off Neil's shroud?

This would stump so many people
Need a way to break this evil
What do you have to say to take off Neil's shroud?

Why it isn't working, I don't know
(Oddly, this isn't working)
All we get from Treguard is howling "Ohhh"
(But Treguard just says "Oh")

It's a scene out of the ordinary
I can see the spell's not ending
It wants to stay, can't work it out
Things still look the same, yeah

What do you have to say to take off Neil's shroud?
Whatever else can we try?
What do you have to say to shake off Neil's shroud?

This would stump so many people
Need a way to break this evil
What do you have to say to take off Neil's shroud, eh?

What can we change, Tre?
Do it again, eh?
The result is still surprising

Strange, eh?
Nothing has changed, nay
So forget the gameplay
'Cos I can see we'll need to bribe him!

What do you have to say to take off Neil's shroud?
(To take off his shroud, yeah)
(Let me hear ya, let me hear ya, let me hear ya)
So what do you have to say to shake off Neil's shroud?
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)

Though it would stump so many people
Someday we'll break this evil
So what do you have to say to take off Neil's shroud? Duh!

Now I think of it, "What have you got to say..." would be even closer to the original lyric. :)

I love this entire thing!
"you should be able to hear from my voice that I'm terribly pretty, now DO you think I'm pretty?"
