I thought I'd have a go at this but didn't get very far before my creative juices fizzled out and I had to go to bed, but here's what I got.

Yo this is a story all about how
Our lives got withturned upside down
After our quest went awry when we all dared
To apply to be contestants on a show called Knightmare.

Sucks doesn't it? :D

I happened to see this post last night, with an aborted attempt to spoof the Fresh Prince theme song:
TheMightyMartin wrote:I thought I'd have a go at this but didn't get very far before my creative juices fizzled out and I had to go to bed, but here's what I got.

...and it inspired the following silliness. :P

(Original here)

"Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside-down
And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there,
I'll tell you how I became the host of a show called Knightmare...

Innnnn Dunshelm, Northumbria born and raised,
On the high ground is where I spent most of my days,
Seekin' out tracks in the bracken and gorse
And all shootin' dumb creatures, outside on my horse

When a baron from France, who was up to no good
Started makin' trouble in my neighbourhood
He got in one afternoon and my clan got slain!
He said, "We're moving in your castle and chuckle at your pain."

I wished to take it back, but it became clear
That knights were faced with death and they're enticing 'em here!
If anything I could say that this had me scared
But I thought, nah, forget it, yo home to Knightmare!

I proved up to the challenge and set it all straight
And I yelled to the Devil, "Go home! Smell ya later!"
I looked at my dungeon, I was finally there,
To sit on my throne as the Lord of Knightmare."

There, now you don't need to read the book, LOL.

Didn't know Dunshelm was in Northumbria. Well, that's my weekend sorted. ;D
