Same problem here Motely, the girlfriend never was too keen and considers it a little Childish for a 22 year old!

Not wanting to risk flying back into the old 'Don't like the Eyeshield' argument but you are right, the eyeshield does slow things down tremendously. We're just noticing it more now 'cause its the Nth time round.

This is the only real problem for Knightmare in the modern market, There is absolutely NO pace whatsoever because KM always relied on tension instead.

Compare it to even the more mature gameshows of the past and present (Crystal Maze, Robot Wars etc) and you'll see that the program literally PLODS its way along.

The dumb masses (the public in general, not JUST us at KM.com!) are wanting high paced 'quick fix' excitement rather than the more fufilling and thought provoking progs like KM.

For those of you who don't have a DVD player and who are interested, if you have an Aldi store near you then they have got 38 pounds (can't type pound sign from my keyboard) DVD players coming into their stores on 13th November. Does anyone know where you can get Knew ones any cheaper than that price?

I'm in a lose-lose situation...

1. Buy a DVD Player fro  Aldi. Brilliant. Can watch films and programmes etc. on DVD at Uni, but can't play Knightmare coledction, which is on VHS.

2. Buy a cheap Video player. Able to watch some films and programmes (but without the nice extras) at uni, but won't be able to purchase the legendary Knightmare DVD (if it comes).

3. Buy a DVD and a Video player. Room becomes totally cluttered with gadgets, I become broke, I get evicted from Uni and my life is in ruins.

A lose-lose-lose situation, then.

Well the rate that things are going on the dvd/vhs front and as long as it might even take to produce a dvd/vhs, you probably have enough time to save up enough money for one or both types of players, a dvd or video, and you might even have graduated from uni and even be working by the time a dvd/vhs is released ::).

Great! I'll get it with my next-generation-Amiga computer, then sit at home and watch it while waiting for the new series of Gamesmaster, hosted (in a unique twist) by Patrick Moore, with Hugo Myatt as the Games Master. The new series of Knightmare would also be announced as starting in the year 2050. ;D

Hi there-  I'm glad a topic has arisen about Knightmare on VHS- I did discuss it about four months ago, but have been unable to log on. VHS is the simply the best! After all, when Hugo Myatt was Treguard, he would not have had a clue what DVD was- it is the true Knighmare era format! It is cheaper than DVD, and tape quality is usually fine, if tapes are looked after. I think the petition is a great idea, but it is exluding people without video disc players- I am not saying that we should get silly and demand Betamax aswell- but at the end of the day DVD is not universal... and who knows, maybe it will go the same way as Video2000. Good luck with the petition! And can we tape videos for each other, if people have double VCR decks- maybe, it is illegal- I don't know?
