Well I did try and put forward a VHS cause  ::)

The recordings off Challenge? The ones I have made have been pretty good, apart from the annoying advert pops etc. and the 'Next' symbol at the top, luckily managed to avoid the annoying voice overs on the credits.

may is well pay an extra £10 for the dvd player and then the extra couple of pound for any discs.  after all u'll get much more and vhs tapes always dull with age and wear. not to mention the lack of quailty.

Don't get me wrong i love useing vhs. great of tapeing off things off hte tv or renting out old movies which u can't get hold of a dvd version.. but all in all with the dvd u'll get fair more for your money.

You also can't play videos on the computer either! There's a limit where they can be played; strictly on a VHS playey attached to a tele and on a small portable VHS player (those ones you could use in the car or on the plane). When I went on a plane the other year, The entertainment thing where I was sitting kept breaking down, so I got to watch a video on one of those portable players which was great but the problem was the sound and the quality weren't that great and the picture wasn't very big either!

To be honest, I think we did to death the whole issue of campaigning for DVD vs. campaigning for both formats simultaneously in a thread in the Knews section. And as some gorgeous person in green robes said there, there's nothing to stop anyone who wants to campaign for VHS doing so in the way we did for DVD.

Better if both, really. DVDs are good for extras but there's absolutely no reason why VHS shouldn't be released, either. I'm sure loads of people wouldn't like to buy a whole new machine, even if it was for Knightmare!
And besides, nowadays most titles are released on both DVD and VHS at the same time.

I've actually realized that the voice overs don't appear on the credits in the morning previews...

That is a good time to record KM Kieran... and everyone else!

I think its either for sentimental value (reminders of childhood), collection (its nice to say you have a whole set of something) or obsession.

I watch episodes on tape sometimes and I'm glad I have them. I had to wait no less than 14 years to see series 1 again. I shan't make that mistake again in a hurry!

I must say Mephisto, after I record Knightmare, I always watch them with my headphones plugged in so no-one else can hear it...

My Mom and Dad get annoyed with me watching it because I talk about it all the time. This is why I turned to the KM forum because people here know what I am talking about...

I got my friend watching it too, but he finds it boring sometimes...

Does Knightmare seem to be going slower by any chance. The Eye-Shield footage tends to slow down the program a lot.
