Re: Knightmare on DVD
well, back from states, all sigs so far backed-up and now to discuss extensions...
it's possible to extend the petition so it runs for longer than 60 days. while this would allow us to get more sigs it would also be less to granada's interest if we left it too late.
getting 800 signatures and telling granada it was only run for 60 days when they'rs thinking about what stuff to buy is more impressive than getting 2000 signatures and saying it was run for a year when they discussed knightmare a year ago. i'd vote to just leave it for 60 days then i can get straight to work on the editing and we can get it to granada ASAP. what do other think??

Re: Knightmare on DVD
I think it's definitely preferable to end it after the 2 month period. As has been said before, the petition's impact will surely be greater with a smaller number of signatures collected over a short, fixed period of time, than a slightly larger number collected over an age.
It still has over a month to run, of course, so the figure itself may rise significantly within the original 2 month period.

Re: Knightmare on DVD
The number of people signing the petition in the time so far has been pretty impressive to say the least.
As a result I'd say leave it for the 60 days... it should reach over 1000 signatures by then which is a good amount.

Re: Knightmare on DVD
i think sending a red dragon through the UK to Granada Headquarters to try and destroy them would be going a bit far ;D

Re: Knightmare on DVD
It's all part of the Master Plan, eh? :)
(1) Get Challenge? to show some series to reignite the fanbase and bolster our numbers.
(2) Use the increased numbers to form large petitions to try to persuade GM to do a DVD release.
(3) The DVD release is successful, again due to our increased numbers. GM's interest in Km is amplified and the new series suddenly becomes a very attractive programming prospect.
(4) Km returns in a blaze of glory, gets sold all over the world and everyone is very happy.
Well, phase 1 is complete. Phase 2 is well on its way. If things go our way, phase 3 will occur within the next 18 months, with phase 4 following in hot pursuit! :D

*Worried that WhiteDevil had knowledge of her cunning plan even though she thought it was so cunning that she was sure she didn't tell anyone, well apart from that rather good looking person she met down the pub who......whitedevil, was that YOU!*

Roxx, I thought we'd been through this and you'd accepted that we couldn't get that many starved ferrets into Granada Towers quickly enough.Yeah, 60 days is long enough and then send it straight to Granada and if that doesn't work then there's always my cunning plan......
