I think funhouse is appropriate in view of the near competition in the children's TV poll.

Wombstar, I think you have your facts wrong.. Knightmare was not replaced by virtually impossible.

KM ended 11 November 1994
VI aired 18 November 1994

According to the internet.

The Internet tells me that "The Mickey Mouse Club" also ended on October 1994.

Did virtually impossible replace that too?

Was The Mickey Mouse Club on ITV, Friday afternoons in KM time slot the following week? ::)

I might be wrong but I'm sure that on Youtube whilst watching virtually impossible, someone made a comment saying 'Knightmare got dropped for this?' (meaning virtually impossible). I don't believe that was the case though as Tim mentioned why Knightmare wasn't going to be shown anymore on ITV.

Have just seen the video of Virtually Impossible to make sure and the comment was 'Tim Child ditched Knightmare for this s@@@?' (A swear word was used). I don't believe this was the case though.

No It wasn't the case, But I never said KM was dropped so they could make VI.
Whenever a tv show ends we all look to see that will replace it the next week.
VI i'm certain took it's place, which is what I was referring to.

However, back in 1994 kid didn't know what was going on behind closed doors, we see our fav show vanish and a new one in it's place.

There must have been some uncertainty about KM future because after the series finial they did put the address for new applicants, which is exactly what I did. lol whoops.

What channel was Fun house on?

Anyway is there any updates with regards to a Knightmare Convention? I believe there a lot of likes on Facebook so it seems it would be popular and would attract a decent amount of people!

Let me be clearer:
Virtually impossible was not a replacement for Knightmare.

That was not the intention, plan, or effect. Virtually impossible would have happened, regardless of Knightmare's continuation or otherwise.

The fact that it took over the time slot is irrelevant. There is, as far as I have been specifically told, no link.

heh. I need to be careful what I say here, because I don't want to let people down if everything collapses.

At the moment, we are proceeding cautiously. We think there are (just about) enough people, we have a few ideas for venues and some guests have confirmed an interest in attending.
The next step is to get a better idea of costs. From there we can work out what we can/cannot afford to do and make bookings.
