Knightmare soundtrack?

Post by Tom41 »

Just wondering, was there a Knightmare soundtrack ever released? I'd like to hear some of that tense music from later series without a load of advisers shouting over it!

If not, I'm sure it would be possible to re-assemble some of the background music by sticking together all the bits where there is no speech. Since Knightmare often had a lot of time when the dungeoneer was moving and waiting for the advisors to say 'stop', it shouldn't be too hard.

I've already seen this done once with an 80s cartoon series, the music that wasn't on the official soundtrack CD was re-assembled by fans, using loads of bits of speechless soundtrack!

With Knightmare, I'm talking about the tense music that often accompanied things like the Lord Fear spyglass scenes, the block causeways, and the Play Your Cards Right puzzle.
One day you say "Enter Stranger" and big goblin comes in!

hmmm, yes and a cover version of Ice Ice Baby, with Treguard repeating the words 'Ooh Ooh nasty' over the Queen rip-off backing beat wouldn't go amiss either...

Love it! Absolutely Love it!

Just imagine- The Dungeon People;

Treguard, Lord Fear, Sly Hands, Hordriss!

However, the Village People still scare me more!

Ooh, it's a toughie, Lord Fear in a sailors outfit, Treguard as a cowboy and Pickle as an Indian, it's what horror stories are made of! ...

I always do that with cartoons! I have tonnes of tapes of music assembled this way.

i have a couple of cds of 80s cartoon tunes and a few of the 90s and some adverts (including knightmare).  i think they're the TAMPACS cds (trevelyan animated motion pictures and cartoons society)...

i can get the main tune but so can anyone...

hmm...

i can try and copy some on the keyboard onto midi and see what happens at some point when i have time.

*Loud applause* Flippant Marvellous.

I'd have liked to see the 'N' as the nasty - that would have given it the best kick!

It's the Knightmare song, that as you all can see,
Distant memories of watching all on CITV;
Peeking out from round the corner of the old settee
As Challenge pluck it out from the golden dusted old debris.

Knightmare now is back, soon back in force to stay
That's if we petitioners ever get our $%#ing way.
It's the best religion ever known for every single day
To watch those dungeoneers cause Lord Fear the affray.

*shouts* We are the fans of the cult Knightmare
Best show ever seen, you know, and that is all we care -
So promises go out from us, that we'll all be there -
Sign it all up, you Challenge? gods - if you really DARE!
