OK, so series 1's just ended on Challenge.

Any idea when series 2 starts? I've checked the schedules for the next week and it's not following straight on... :(

Hi

According to my TV listing, its back on the 5th March at 7am and again 6th March at 3am ;D Looks like the 3am is a repeat of the 7am showing.

No details on which series though.

my sky+ is recording daily 3am shows currently season 6, I hope its not true that s3 rights have ended as thats the one I want to watch the most. Why did s3 rights end so early did they show it more often or have less rights to it?

S3 was the season they got the rights to first, back in December 2003. It was because they recognised that S3 was generally held to be the best of the lot. They then picked up s4-8 over the next few months before going back to the beginning and taking up S1 and 2.

Best to ask ChallengeGuru on the ChallengeTV forum.

Funnily enough, you beat me to it...I was going to ask the same question in case anyone knew what had happened! Looks like our best bet is to harass Challenge TV... *rolls up sleeves* ;D

I've left a question for the Challenge Guru asking him when it is due to return, and I've had a good search through the Sky listings for the next week too. There's no sign of it in the listings and in fact Challenge TV look like they've altered their whole daytime schedule...so I have this bad feeling it won't be back for a while :(

Just to update, I still haven't had a response from the Guru on the Challenge TV forum; another member did say the Guru told him the series would be coming off air in March but never said if or when it would return...so no good news yet, sorry to say!

Challenge's rights to the series have more or less expired now, although they haven't ruled out renewing them. You can keep an eye out for developments on their website.

http://www.challenge.co.uk/schedule.php

You can subscribe through Sky TV, or NTL/Virgin TV.

To the best of public knowledge, no other channel has expressed an interest in buying the series recently.

From ChallengeGuru on the Challenge forums;
No plans for Knightmare at the moment either, sorry, but we are afrer other shows, and if these fall thru maybe Knightmare and Fort Boyard will come back to the table as opposed to being on the back burner.
Let's hope the other shows fall through, then.
