BillyH wrote: Yeah, I remember it, but that wasn't a BSB one, and Tim Child definitely mentions it was for BSB in the History.
You'd be surprised the number of people who still use the term BSB where they should be using the term Sky. People did actually buy BSB equipment you know :) Apparently you can still use the square aerials and boxes if you point them in the right direction.

Now THERE'S an obscure KM reference - 'squariels'. Learner played a character called Larry in a Broadsword programme called 'The Satellite Game', which was broadcast on one of those obscure channels which were picked up by squariels!

On the Series 3, Level 1 page, 'Layer of the Dreaded Kar' should be 'Lair of the Dreaded Kar'.

"Brief look at Hugo Myatt's appearance as a vampire on Chucklevision."
(SPOILER)The big twist at the end of the episode is that Hugo's character isn't a vampire at all, and his assistant (Igor) is. So 'a vampire' should be changed to 'the master of a castle'.(/SPOILER)

"He played a vampire"
See above. (Sorry about the spoiler thing, just that people might read this thread who haven't seen the episode).

Both these pages contain mildly amusing references to ghosts being killed. Surely impossible! I'd suggest changing 'ghost' to 'cavern wraith' (for the sake of accuracy), and 'kill' to something with less of an implication of mortality, like 'banish' or 'destroy'.

[Edit 08/11/05: Still uncorrected.]

Shouldn't that be 'Lair of the Dreaded Khar'? In most mythology, he's spelt 'Khar'. The only exception, as far as I know, is in Disney's Jungle Book, where it's "Kaa"!

The FAQ question 8 points to the old address of www.talkknightmare.co.uk. Also, series 1 page 1, 'silver proceeds gold' should be 'silver precedes gold'.

A thabulous threesome:

"However, the original episodes broadcast on ITV in 1987 showed this older Anglia production logo."
The Challenge repeats also feature this logo.

Sometimes, idents and voiceovers were used instead of presenters, as demonstrated here at the end of episode 1 of series 6 of Knightmare.
The announcer in this clip is Philip Elsmore, a Thames continuity announcer.

Useful Knightmare listing by Billy Hicks on this free encyclopaedia.
The idea of Wikipedia is that anyone can add to it at any time, so it'd be unfair to say that I wrote the whole thing (I wrote 95% of it, but other people are also adding to it). I suggest just "Useful Knightmare listing on this free encyclopaedia.".

clever

I did a bit of hunting around, and here's what I found:
  • The Sci-Fi Channel started on the 1st November, 1995. So it seems Knightmare was part of the schedule from the very start- it was certainly being shown by the 9th.
  • By mid-1996, it was shown at 9.20am weekdays, and 11.30am weekends. I don't know if it changed from mid '96, but it had changed by that time.
  • By the 27th October 1996 (again, not sure if it changed then or earlier) it was being shown at 10:00am Sundays only. This continued until the 22nd December (29th December was a Battlestar Galactica marathon).
  • From the 4th January 1997, it was shown at 7.30am Saturdays and Sundays, and 10:05am Sundays. Before then the listings started at 8am, so presumably it coincided with the channel's broadcast hours being extended. The times were still the same by October 1997.

"18.11.94"
Sorry, seems I miscounted. It should read 11.11.94.
(Spookily, it happened 11 years ago today!)

http://www.knightmare.com/series/8/winners.htm
"Episode 10 : Friday 18th November 1994"
Again, since it started on the 9th September, the 18th should read 11th.
