Ooh, I've been waiting for someone to bring something like this up.

Sidetracking slightly, does anyone know why, in Series 4, Mellisandre said (twice) "In fact, I never seem to get any older"? I never understood the point of her saying it...I always assumed she must have been immortal for some reason, although it was never used as a plot device.

And yes, she was cute. Completetly useless, but cute ::)

I don't know if it's just me but I think she looks about the same age as or slightly younger than most of us around here!

i think a lot of mellisandre's cute appeal was the damsel in distress thing. she had post-coital ruffled hair and was often in stocks or in a position where she was submissive.

hehe, medieval damsel in distress and bondage, all things i am expert at.

but not my type, her hair was always bad... give me a scantily clad in leather stiletta or a pink streaked, pretty dress sidriss any day... or a certain minstrel

The minstrel sounds much more to my liking and I don't mean the Chockie kind either, although I like them too and M&M's and Smarties and Dairy Milk, etc. etc.

I honestly think Mellisandre was at her best with Motley; in Series 3 and 4 they interacted well, especially throwing leaves at each other in the Forest and trying to make each other laugh!
In fact, I think they were lovers - all the elements were there, there were times they almost kissed

I just think they wouldn't have got too, uh, graphic in front of the dungeoneers!
And yes, Melly was definitely cute - but in the is-she-in-love-with-Motley way, I reckon!

I am afraid I disagree Pooka, I always saw Melly and Motley as a sort of best friend relationship as Melly always acted almost like a child and not a sort of harlet!
