Religion

Post by Emii »

Now I bet a lot of you guys read that and went "*sucks in breath* touchy subject..." BUT...
All I was wondering was, you know when you put your religion down (I think it's on the census), and if a certain number of people all put down one type of previously unclassified religion then it becomes official...
What if we all wrote 'Dungeoneer'?

The authorities would certainly argue it wasn't a religion as they did when people wrote "Jedi". And also, it would take thousands of people doing it before it was even considered. Also, a more precise term might be neede than "Dungeoneer" since that could refer to several different things featuring dungeons. Sorry. I'm a bit pessimistic, aren't I?
Oh look there's J.G. Ballard in a burnt-out fridge with a spitfire pilot.

Incidentally, do any of u realise how weird this is, I mean there's being a fan- and then there's being insanely obsessed!

Still at least we're only thinking about it, it could be worse, people could be doing it!

Our dungeoneer,
Who art in the dungeon,
Remember'd be your name,
You're off to Kingdom come,
Thy will be done on Earth as it is in the dungeon.
Give us this day our daily energy sprite,
and forgive our debts, as we forgive our goblins.
Lead us not into whopping great holes,
But deliver us to the quest object.
For yours is the power and glory forever,
Ooh nasty.

I'm sore tempted to write something snide and cynical about religion and illusion.  :)

The Ten Knightmare Commandments:

1) Thou shalt be witty, generous and brave, or else perish.

2) Thou shalt aid all in peril, expect those that ye have put in peril

3) Thou shalt not smack the irritating jesters one

4) Thou shalt be knowledgable, or else be fames for thine stupidity

5) Thou shalt not guide thine Dungeoneers into obvious holes

6) Thou shalt love thy advisors, even if they kill thee off

7) Thou shalt not offer the goblins a present

8) Thou shalt have faith in the existence of Festus

9) Thou shalt obey thine Dungeon Master and respect his whingey assistants

10) Thou shalt not blow magic horns, however magical and horny ye believe them to be
