Akash's team from series 2 is also funny! A brilliant example of how NOT to play.  :)

Another humorous goblin moment is when a dungeoneer gets turned into a goblin and gets eaten by a dungeoneer. Before I got back into the series, this was one of the few deaths I could actually remember. My favourite moment must be though, when Treguard gets restrained by magic in his chair.
Oh look there's J.G. Ballard in a burnt-out fridge with a spitfire pilot.

That would indeed be funny.

Treguard: "Life force critical team, you must find food!"
Advisors: "Quickly! Put the other dungeoneer disguised as a goblin in your knapsack!"
"Sometimes of the Grey, but always of the Green, dearie. Shurrup Brollachan! Have you seen Festus, my dear? I need to take him back to Cornwall. " [cackle]

How about the first quest in series 8? Possibly the shortest Knightmare quest ever, only taking one episode!

I also think it's funny when the teams mess up left and right, and sidestep where they were meant to turn. In one episode the dungeoneer was on the path, and was asked to "Turn to your right". The dungeoneer instead sidestepped to the right - into a pit of mud! I think there was also another occasion where a dungeoneer sidestepped all the way across a room to get to the door!
One day you say "Enter Stranger" and big goblin comes in!

There have been shorter quests - in fact, isn't there an episode in Series 1 that (possibly uniquely) has two team deaths in it?

Yup! That episode is unique for two deaths.

It was the first episode I ever saw, too. It was shown on Monday, 12th October 1987. My 5th birthday was on the Wednesday. The Great Storm of 1987 was on the Friday!

What a week that was...  :o

Best scene

Post by blackjack »

Chances are this has been done but as I have arrived late, lets see what your favourite scene is from the whole of Knightmare. Some that come to mind.

Medusa scene in Julian's quest in s2
Giles at the Block and Tackle
Simon, sidestep to your left!
Julie and Barry in s7 both had memorable scenes with Sylvester Hands
The troll hammer scene
Sophia talking back to Elita (very clever)

And several others.

Many I'd have picked have been mentioned before ('side-step', 'cow-slip', "Shut up, Festus!" etc.) but here are some others:

TREGUARD: Well, it'll look good in Ruislip.

PICKLE: (Exclaiming)Elf Boots!
Advisor: We think it's something to do with elf boots.
(Cue Pickle looking completely bemused.)

HORDRISS: (in disguise) Hordriss? Hordriss? Never heard of him. Any fool can see that I am a tortoise. A superior tortoise, of course. Actually, a racing tortoise - a famous racing tortoise called...Nigel.

Virtually any scene with Rothberry, and of course, there's Hands' 'DAYORF'.

Sophia talking back to Elita was funny!
Lord Fear's impersonations of the brollican and hordriss cracked me up!
Ben's conversation with Ah Wok when saying 'oh we'll just buy the potion'
Sylvester Hands getting drunk after Julie gave him ale!
The only way is onward, there is no turning back.

Barry saying 'well, in all honesty I'd rather swap the lamp' is one of my favourite moments ever in KM. XD

From Series 6, Episode 1:
MATT: (Picking up food) It's a croissant.
Got to love him wiping his hand on Sylvester as well.

I love the changing expressions on Pickle's face when Merlin asks him if he wants 'a hint' in the Christmas episode.

The Dungeoneer saying "Down, boy!" to the descender.
