Blatantly Obvious Things That Never Happened...

Can you think of any scenarios where the team playing did something that completely avoided the obvious and easier choice?

For example, I could never understand why teams, when encountering one of those floor puzzles where the slabs would fall away, didn't just run fast straight across.

It's a bit like the lying flat on the floor during the corridor of blades idea really.

One team when facing.. Mogdred I believe... could (and should) have simply run downt he path rather than waited to be zapped by lightning.

Oh, andt heres the team which used the wrong spell against a sword - should have used "But" but instead spellcast a very long spell.

Not so blatantly obvious perhaps, but my idea for the incident with the MEDAL/FREE spells in season 2 might be added in here.

Look at http://www.knightmare.com/forum/http:// ... 1#msg34931 to see.

yes- i agree with the floor puzzles.

Did you notice, the frightknight puzzles, right,
the causeway never dropped until the sword touched the red spot.

If you were at least one layer ahead, you could have a cuppa before strolling off to the sounds of "Walk straight forward" from your 3 intelligent advisors!

...Maybe that's why Knightmare hasn't had a new series.
Now we, the original viewers, are a bit older, we can suss out the puzzles and win the game!!!

The originals had to go by a videotape of the last series so they weren't at too much advantage!!

LOOPHOLES EVERYWHERE!!!!

But not really though.

Teams that took the wrong path across the floor puzzle were automatically dead, as the floor would automatically fall quicker than normal if that happened.

I mean like just a fast sprint straight forward into the doorway before the blocks had the time to fall.

I wonder if any teams assaulted one of the baddies? Y'know, like if Sylvestor Hands started trying to grab 'em they kneed him in the happy-sacks.

haha- that would be funny.

Like in that "bad dreems" spoof!!!

is it me, or does series 8 begin this morning on Challenge??

I just watched Barry finish off the dungeon with that giant.

I didn't agree on the shield of justice/eyeshield thing.

the Shield of Justice doesn't have an eye on!!!
and it's bigger (see Ben's quest, series 5).

Lucky buggaz tho- got a frightknight each!!!!

...rather than 1 between them!

I was always quite confused the first time I saw a Challenge re-run of the last quest of series 2, where Treguard attempted to hinder the team and Granitas announced the quest before asking questions. After answering three questions correctly, Treguard tells the team to call out "I command you", and the team ignore him.

I found it slightly bizarre that Treguard had done this bizarre about-turn, and why Granitas had mixed everything up... but I must have been getting a mug of tea during the all-important previous scene. The next time I saw this episode, Gretel said "it's back-to-front day in the dungeon... until you find out what your quest is."

Clearly, the team missed this as well. Once Granitas had told them their quest, *then* he asked the questions and Treguard was back on the team's side. And they didn't notice.

I don't think it affected them, though...
