Favourite Treguard catchphrase?

Post by HStorm »

Let's settle once and for all which of Treguard's catchphrases was the best. Vote simply by posting the number of which one you prefer of the following...

1.  "The only way is onward; there is no turning back."

2.  "Oh dear, what a pity, never mind."

3.  "Spellcasting... D-I-S... M-I-S-S."

4.  "Enter, stranger."

5.  "Time turns, the fire burns, time out is gone, the quest is ON!"

6.  "Oooooo nasty!"

7.  "Game on!"

Number 6 for me. They're all marvellous but this classic ad lib is my favourite of all the catchphrases.

Uh uh. What he said was, "When Time turns once more, and the fire burns as before, and the gauntlet is hurled down, then will the age of Knightmare be found."

And although he did say things at the ends of other seasons that were kind of similar, he only said that particular one once, so it's not a catchphrase.

I can't narrow it down to one particular favourite. A couple which haven't made the shortlist are: when Treguard spellcasts UNITE; and variations on Treguard telling Pickle to be quiet.
Knightmare: Kid-worthy, Naasty, Inspiring, Groundbreaking, Humorous, Treguard, Mesmerising, Adult-worthy, Rewarding, Essential.

"You're wasting valuable Life Force team..."

But number six has to be the classic. It could be the title of a Knightmare book can't it?  ;D
If the only way is onward how would you get home for tea?? :-/

I also like the "UNITE" one and what about the "Game on" and "HEROS" ones and the "Ouch" one, but with the ones you've put HStorm I think I'd also go with number 2 with the "Ooooh Nasty" one I liked some of the things that Treguard said after such as "I guess that's just the slice of Life". My favourite Has to definately be the "UNITE" one though especially at the end of s3.

My favourite is also Number 2. I liked the slightly evil Treguard, and he's a lot of fun to watch in retrospect.
"Sometimes of the Grey, but always of the Green, dearie. Shurrup Brollachan! Have you seen Festus, my dear? I need to take him back to Cornwall. " [cackle]

No. 6 of course! ;D But I also like this ad-lib too, when Cliff (Series 3, Team 2) gets killed by THAT sword:

"Cliff seems to have come to rather a pointed end"

LOL!! ;D

A few people need to distinguish between a catchphrase and a quote  -  something Treguard said only once can't be a catchphrase. And as for the "slice of life" gag, Moana, I cringe every time I hear it!
