Re:Channel 4 to invest in Kids TV

Any developments on this yet?? channel 4 seem to be doing stuff or rather talking about the gaps in Tv this includig the possibility of taking about taking the use f "regional News" which would be intersting as ITV is heavily cutting back and wil probably in 5 years time give up on Regional news an...

Re: Virtually Impossible

I remember CyberZone, with the people wearing those VR helmets! Woah thats going back ages ago! i think i remember that as well wasnt on in like 91-92 presented by craig charles or is it a completely different program ? No, your thinking of the right program. At least five years ahead of its time, ...

Re:Question regarding choice room

You're 10-14 years old. You get given the choice of questing for the sword, the shield, the crown or the cup. Which are you going to go for? (Although I wouldn't go for sword in the Knightmare context, it's obviously a weapon, afterall...) Now, if they'd have called the cup the challis instead, that...

Re:quests u did not understand??

Can't say I'm immediately familiar with most quests sufficiently to get proper memories of them, but "No Right Turn" seems clear that it reverses the general principle of, "If no information available, the right path is right." Was there anything in Sophia's quest that goes against that assumption o...

Re:quests u did not understand??

Uther Pendragon's father was supposedly King Constantine II, but would anyone who hasn't even finished their GCSEs/Standard Grades know that? Not likely, so the riddle likely doesn't apply to him. ...I didn't do Arthurian legend for GCSE English Lit. If you ask me to compare Examination Day to A Mo...

Re:quests u did not understand??

if Merlin asks for the name of the daughter of Uther Pendragon, they should give the name of his son, Arthur. How would they know the opposite of daughter wasn't mother? Basically, how would they know whether they were meant to give the right answer or the opposite answer? And whether they were mea...

Re:Perhaps the ultimate modern day Eyeshield journey.

Whereas I always felt the dwarf tunnels, since theoretically you could set encounters there (afterall, what was the CoB except for a really, really dangerous corruption of the dwarf tunnels), were a superior way of getting two rooms which couldn't logically be next to each other but needed some inte...

Re:If it ain't broke...

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. No going back but not jumping TOO far forward (Nice way of putting it 123pooka ;D). "Virtual Set" (IE entire room blue screened with motion tracked cameras) setups aren't the latest but would work perfectly in a situation like this. Because it uses existing technol...

Re:Channel 4 to invest in Kids TV

not to mention The Crystal Maze and GamesMaster. Neither of which technically count as children's, I feel. the former simply had a very large children's cross demographic (I think), and the latter was more upper teens than children in target demographic - 16-20, probably (And the first two seasons ...

Re:If it ain't broke...

Perhaps a middle ground then? CGI rendering has come a long way since the days of KM and it's now possible to create 3d realms but still give the final image the feel of anything you wish. The PS2 game "Okami" would be a good example. The game is free-roaming 3D but is rendered/filtered to make it ...

Since, as you say, it's early stages yet, you'll forgive me if I remain merely cautiously optimistic, however?

Re:Channel 4 to invest in Kids TV

So here we have Channel 4 throwing money at Knightmares traditional demographic in one part of the forum... And a certain "BVA" (who most have figured out the identity of by now ;) ) saying that "Something is stirring" in another part nearby. Coincidence? Possibly. I'm up for some fan speculation t...

Re:New Tim Child interview!

I was shown this by someone else. It's a fairly revealing interview, in all, and gives us some insight in his current feelings toward KMVR. A mix of blue screen and VR? Interesting compromise. The interview is well worth a read. Raven doesn't seem to go down that well with him, either! Well, from a...
