Re: Sing Back Knightmare 2010!

Pooka, I'm sure you remember that I worked on an intro section to Never Gonna Win The Cup, unaware that you'd been organising one yourself, the one which you ultimately and rightly used. The release of another version of NGWTC is surely a nice opportunity to share my intro after all. I don't suppos...

12 Days of Christmas

My goals across the last few months were to provide enough new material to celebrate a 12 days of Christmas on KM.com. Some new items would be small, others more substantial. The full 12 looks like a tough proposition, but I would like to propose a meaningful way to celebrate New Year (and, aptly en...

Re: Can we see a new era of Knightmare

Hi Peter, Your bafflement, surprise, and frustration are shared by most of us here. It is confounded by a number of factors. The process that has been setup is very simple, but the results are poor. HStorm highlighted the thread to register interest. Please start by adding your support there. (I not...

Re: Classic question: Favourite Team Death?

Top 5 for me: 1. Series 7, Ben: Trial by Spikes. Terrific tension throughout the entire level with the troll pursuit, and the execution - if you will pardon the pun - is infinitely better than the relatively insipid death of Team 4, who struggle in this room. 2. Series 1, Danny: Bomb room. I am cont...

Re: Censorship

As my head lives in the 1640s, amongst the earliest examples of campaigning against print censorship ( Areopagitica [free speech], Lucasta [political licensing], and the vicious agendas of Gilbert Mabbott and Roger L’Estrange [censors]), I am well aware that the word ‘censorship’ is not to be taken ...

Re: Website feedback, continued...

Just so you know, the same problem exists with the various CITV clips: http://www.knightmare.com/media/clips/1301-citv.html There's an article about Knightmare on CITV under each of the individual series sections, but none of those articles link to the available clips. Like this one for example: ht...

Re: Knightmare VR now has it's own article on Wikipedia.

Great! Well done on persevering with this. I thought it was decidedly poor on Wikipedia's part to censor this. I've seen so many menial, ephemeral entries over the years that I wonder how they dare remove something that is submitted with care and attention. Again, all I would suggest for this is tha...

Re: Dungeon Room paintings

I was only alerted to Mr Rowe's website a few days ago when the man himself commented on something I had written on Facebook. [...] Perhaps it is a good thing to bump this topic in order to highlight the value of what lies within its content. Touché, my good man. This has been on the news column of...

Re: What the future holds, perhaps?

Excellent thread. 8) I’m wary of repeating too much of what I’ve said recently in other threads , but perhaps it has more relevance here than elsewhere. It is impossible to know what the future holds, but we do know that the present is shaped by everything that has come before it. As you have identi...

Above, you FAIL so hard it's not even funny. Now kindly GTFO, STFU and generally sod off. Chill. Please appreciate that you may not have been around here long enough to appreciate various members' variety of humour. I’m not sure why this was thread was revived, but perhaps it serves a purpose. Commercially Underrated, Yes

With all the best will in the world, how could we measure an ‘official’ most underrated? 8) To lend a turn of phrase from the Times Higher Educational this week: “how can we measure the impact of an activity whose worth is not only self-evident but too rich and nebulous for functionalist metrics?” (...

The only thing I found a bit odd is how the articles about the various video clips (with screencaps etc) don't include a link to the clip they're talking about. A couple of times I didn't realise the video was actually available to watch until I found them all in that separate section! Well spotted...

Episodes Available Online

The first two episodes of Le Chevalier du Labyrinthe are available online - in much better quality than we have been accustomed to. Episode One: Part 1 Part 2 Episode Two: Part 1 Part 2 Since moving out to Francophone territory 3 years ago, it has been an ambition to dig out more on Chevalier. It se...

Re: Knightmare references

I don't suspect that there are many out there with an interest in football, but a topical reference nonetheless. Match of the Day 2, shown on Sunday evenings, normally looks to inject a little humour. Last week, a particularly horrible one football-wise, saw the creation of a Halloween XI. Fulham de...
