I'm from Devon originally, and I've still got traces of the same kind of accent, fused with Scots.

Cool, accents and dialects and nationality in my opinion aren't too important but they can help you find out who you are!

I'm from Suffolk where we say things like wa'er, gla(r)ss, gra(r)ss, ain', etc. well you get my point though! I was talking to an American friend one day a few years ago, who's since gone back to American and she was somewhat taking the mick out of some of the things I was saying. On the subjects with Americans though, some of their words are different to ours. One day when I was about five I was with quite a few American kids about my age and I said something about my jumper, which they laughed and took the mick. I think they started throwing my jumper about to make it look like it was jumping. On the subject with accents some of the characters had certain dialects. Does anyone think that Raptor sounded like he was from possibly from somewhere like Devon or Cornwall or around that area and Snapper Jack sounded like he was from somewhere around the Yorkshire area?

Actually, Raptor just has what linguists believe is a normal English accent for the medieval/early modern era. Yes, he sounds like a West Country guy nowadays, but apparently most people around the country spoke that way at the time.

He's also got a sterotypical Pirate vocabualry.

"There Be A Dungeoneer Round Here."

Snapper-Jack dose sound Yorkshier to me.

I wonder, what is everyone's favourite accent?

I know this is going to get some funny looks from certain quarters, but my favourite's Scally Scouse. Always has been.

When it comes to accents, you can't beat RP.

At the moment I for some reason like South African accents. Don't know why though. I quite like Yorkshire, Welsh and West Country ones also.

How many assistants does it take to change a lightbulb?

Seven. One to change the bulb, one to complain about the way that lightbulb fitters always give their names out to people they've never even met before, one to complain how it's not fair asking people to change lightbulbs when they can't even see what they're doing, one to sneak a banana into the lightbulb fitter's knapsack when the Dungeon Master isn't looking, one to yell at the Dungeon Master to get his filthy hands off her, one to give illegal direct assistance while the bulb's being fitted, and one to call his own cousin a nasty little cow... slip.

More technosorcery! Lightbulbs are the work of Fear, for certain. And didn't those lamps dungeoneers picked up in later series have suspicious on-off switches as well?

Yes. Treguard clearly wasn't the purist he made himself out to be.

This gives me an idea for a new thread about Knightmare conspiracy theories!

What's worse than Pickle taking a holiday in the land of the Elf-gobblers?

Snowwiewolf taking a holiday in Taiwan.

Let's not even go there with the REACH wand...
