The writers of Knightmare weren't afraid of "borrowing" certain phrases from Shakespeare himself and I'm glad they did it.

The most famous one I can think of is from the witches in macbeth:

"Fair is foul, and foul is fair:"

Phase shift approaching -Not Shakespeare

In his own way, Shakespeare was an important and accomplished 'fantasy writer', and I'm glad of his links to Knightmare too. When Series 4 dungeoneer Dickon introduces himself to Brother Mace, the monk quotes from Shakespeare's play King Richard III (Act V, Scene iii, Line 306): 'Dickon thy master is bought and sold.' Though Mace does mention it's from Shakespeare, so it's not really a rip-off.

There's an entry on Shakespeare in the Knightmare Lexicon that details some of his KM connections.

Given the number of expressions and, indeed, words coined by Shakespeare, it's difficult not to quote him. I wouldn't be surprised to discover that I haven't managed it in this very post.
