Interestingly, I notice that the Sooty crowd are now somewhat subdued.
They were predicting doom and gloom for us against smtv.

Re: Kids' TV Champ - Radio Times vote
That's a nice idea. As you say, it's a doubtful thing (even if we asked them to). However, I do remember a card advertising TES after Sunday morning showings of KM when it was on Sci-Fi, so it's not an impossible suggestion...Fidjit wrote:Good plan. If only Challenge put a card up after the credits saying to visit the website. But I guess such idea would exist only in the realm of dreams.
One of the things I've noticed is that after the (short) article on the Radio Times website, there's a space to add Facebook comments...
...and a lot of the comments appear to be from people I don't recognise community-wise (or didn't notice at KnightmareCon), so that would suggest that new people are bring reminded of KM even now. And that's always good.Mystara wrote:The entire thing smells rather strongly of an attempt by the RadioTimes to increase their social media presence.

Thanks. No one's nominated me.Canadanne wrote:How about a Merit medal for David? None of this would have been possible if he hadn't drawn our attention to the poll.
There certainly was after reading the Radio Times article. Underwhelming to say the least.Mystara wrote:There's going to be a massive anticlimax if/when we win, isn't there?
If nothing else, I look forward to mentioning our Radio Times victory the next time I have a trying-to-explain-Knightmare-to-a-young-whippersnapper conversation. I expect it to lead into a trying-to-explain-Radio-Times-to-a-young-whippersnapper conversation. (We're not supposed to call it 'the' Radio Times apparently.)

Re: Kids' TV Champ - Radio Times vote
Facebook sent me an e-mail today saying that both weekly reach and people engaged on the Knightmare page have both more than doubled in the past week as a result of the Radio Times vote. Which most certainly puts a smile on my face

I thought that's what I was doing... is there an official process that I've forgotten about? I couldn't see anything on the Medals page or forum thread.Drassil wrote:Thanks. The Bristol Post picked up the story. So, er, that's good...

I did flick through yesterday's new print copy of the RT on the off chance it was mentioned, but there was nothing.

Great to see Challenge's Tweet last week about the weekend repeats killing it in the ratings. I wonder if victory in this poll is proving to be of some benefit...?

We can always hope it'll encourage them to buy a few more series...
