I discovered recently that in Missouri, there is a place called Festus. [EDIT: I discovered today that this was mentioned on the forum long ago:
http://www.knightmare.com/forum/http:// ... readid=286 ]
But it turns out that this is only the tip of the iceberg, in terms of places which share names with Knightmare locations and characters. Here are some more that I've found:
Motley - in Minnesota
Merlin - in Ontario, and in Oregon
Marblehead - in Massachusetts, and in Ohio, and in Iowa
Pickle Bank - in the Caribbean
Owen - in Germany, and in Wisconsin
Gore - in Oklahoma, in Ontario, and in New Zealand
Bruin - in Pennsylvania

There's a place called Liss Ard Garden in Skibbereen, West Cork, Ireland.
The website address for the garden is

As a kind of rebranding of this topic... Knightmare dictionary.
Quite a number of Knightmare character names can be found in a standard dictionary. For example: bumptious, igneous, motley, folly, malice, gibbet and pixel.
If you know of any more (I've left out some of the more obvious names), post them here!

This would fit well into my recent 'Knightmare Atlas' topic (
http://www.knightmare.com/forum/http:// ... eadid=1834 ). Perhaps the Moderators could marry the topics somehow?

Me gives a plausibly ludicrous reasoning for Brollachan's double sighting: *draws breath*
well...Barry was mooching around the staff canteen and heard Tim Child and his team discussing plans for series VIII:
"We're gonna have this dragon right, and its' gonna have two personalities'
*cue fervourous applause from colleagues
Upon hearing the applause young barry got it into his head and smart bottom that having two personalitities was good. He therefore making sure he could be the 'sole owner' of two things were one would normally have sufficed and would adapt his personality for each accordingly.
WARNING: Dramatisation; may not not have happened.
