Stupidest obstacles?

What do you people think were the stupidest/most hilarious/ most-unbelievably-easy-to-get-past enemies or obstacles in the Dungeon? I've got series 8 on at the moment (bit of a culture shock after seeing 2 and 4!) and I can't believe how unscary those snapdragons are. "If they get a grip, it's fatal." Treguard was saying. Er - fatal glovepuppets? ::)

Combat Chess from S2 was quite tense and atmospheric but in reality it was fundamentally very easy.

As anyone knows, in Chess you can't capture a King with one piece, so how can a dungeoneer with the knight's move be caught by a bishop?

A knights move takes the piece from a White square to a Black Square and vice versa. The enemy bishop was restricted to black squares only (I think at least 1 of the teams noticed this).

In theory, it is possible to be captured but only the stupid teams would be caught, which didn't happen.

Another famous but survivable obstacle are the notorius 'bomb rooms'. The team don't panic = the team surviving. You dawdle, you dead. Not exactly the most brain-draining of hazards.

The odd 'guide the dungeoneer around the tables and items' in the French version, and the Monster Ball is no better, either.

Nice concept, yet flawed.

They did indeed.

In any case, if we're to take simiano's logic to its natural conclusion, we have to assume that around 80% of the puzzles and obstacles in Knightmare were stupid. If the definition of a stupid puzzle is one that never killed off or even harmed a dungeoneer, then most of the puzzles in the history of the series were rubbish.

I don't think anyone would agree with that, surely?

Can we think of any good ones?

I suggest a water cavern. Like Cliff's quest Series 3, you have to drain the water to reveal an exit by getting a certain puzzle right...

Probably a symbol!

The time Oakley let the team past for seeming truthful...Not exactly on obstacle at all but an odd moment, for sure.

What about the one in Series 6 with the don't turn right thing in the dwarf tunnels with the storm geist blocking entrace to the Causeway.

Now that was stupid

As was the time when Gwen let that team through despite the fact the botched all her questions. Just because they had her token, I think the reserve team may not have arrived on that one!
