Oh, that is good news. Might I now politely suggest, especially bearing the bandwidth issues in mind, that if idiots post their non-topic tripe in future we all resist the urge to comment or agitate them, and just let Illusion handle things?

With any forum it is inevitable that from time to time certain threads will stray off topic, which I'm sure you'll agree there is no problem with.
However, this forum is not intended for members to continually post messages of no relevance to the thread or forum. Not only does it distort threads, but it also wastes bandwidth. Thankfully it is easy to see the posting history for each member.
It is correct that I was waiting until the off-topic forum was set up before taking action, however certain users have already been warned. Further action will be taken from next Monday if such posts do not move to the off-topic forum.
Good man ;D

Sounds fair enough to me, GG. Although I'll miss your "where's that recipe for squirrel pie?" comments.

Thanks, Illusion. And I agree with you, GG - if we respond to garbage we'll use up even more bandwidth.

This time I'm going to eat a piece of Mildread's celebratory cake, even if she
has laced it with arsenic!
I'm now going to go through and delete all my posts that respond to squirrel nonsense. Considering the bandwidth concerns, perhaps it might be an idea if we all considered doing so?
In a day or so I'll self-destruct this post too.

I don't think there is need for each member to go and delete their 'squirrel' type posts

, as I have already removed main offending threads. Since bandwidth relates to the amount of data transferred, rather than the amount stored, the action of each member searching and removing particular posts would also use up bandwidth.

Ah, will do. Or, in this case, won't.
